Abnormal breast tissue can present in many ways. Here is a good overview of what it can look and feel like. 🔍🌸
Knowing what is “normal” for your body is one of the most powerful tools you have for your health. While a lump is the most well-known sign, abnormal changes can look like many different things.
Here is a quick guide to what to watch for during your regular self-exams:
• ✨ Changes in Texture: This can include dimpling, puckering, skin bulging, or skin that resembles an orange peel.
• ✨ Visual Differences: Look out for unusual swelling, redness, scaling, or distortion in the overall shape of the breast.
• ✨ Ni**le Changes: Pay attention to a ni**le turning inward (inverting), changing position, or any sudden redness or soreness.
• ✨ Unusual Discharge: Any unexpected fluid or discharge from the ni**les should be noted.
• ✨ Different Textures of Lumps: Lumps aren’t all the same. Some might feel hard, bumpy, and less mobile (like a rock). Some might even feel as soft as a cotton ball
Always remember: if you notice any changes or abnormalities, do not panic, but do not ignore it either. Consult your healthcare provider promptly.
