Quality in radiology is not something we check at the end of the process. It is something we build into every step of the process.
I am pleased to introduce the RAD-MASTER Ltd. self-study course: Practical Quality Management in Radiology.
Diagnostic Imaging is becoming increasingly complex. New technologies, evolving regulatory expectations, accreditation requirements, patient safety priorities, and growing demands for operational efficiency all make one thing clear: quality management is no longer only a management responsibility—it is part of everyday radiology practice.
This course was developed to help Medical Radiation Technologists and other Diagnostic Imaging professionals understand quality management from a practical, radiology-focused perspective.
What will you learn? The course explores:
*The fundamentals and importance of Quality Management in Radiology
*How a Quality Management System (QMS) is structured in Diagnostic Imaging
*The relationship between Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)
*Leadership, governance, process management and continual improvement
*How to organize policies, processes, procedures, forms and records
*The important distinction between Image Quality and Imaging Quality
*Performance monitoring using KPIs
*Reject/Repeat Analysis
*Root Cause Analysis (RCA), including Fishbone and 5 Whys
*Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
*Workflow analysis and Lean principles
*How quality tools can support patient safety, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
The course takes quality beyond theory. For example, it demonstrates how a facility can identify an elevated reject/repeat rate, investigate the underlying cause through RCA, introduce corrective measures, and then monitor whether those changes actually improve performance.
Designed for working imaging professionals
Practical Quality Management in Radiology is structured as a self-study course with four sections. Each section concludes with a knowledge check, followed by a final post-quiz. A minimum score of 75% is required, and successful learners receive a Certificate of Completion.
The central message of the course is simple:
Quality is more than QC testing.
Quality should not exist only in a policy manual. It should be visible in every patient interaction, every image, every process and every improvement we make.
