Flu season is here. 🍂

The flu is more than a bad cold. It can bring fever, chills, headaches, and muscle aches that keep you down for days. For some people, including older adults, young children, pregnant people, and those with chronic conditions, it can lead to serious complications.

Getting your flu shot is one of the best ways to protect yourself and the people around you.

Feeling unwell? With MembersHealth, you can see a clinician from home, skip the waiting room, and keep from spreading it to others.

Acne is one of the most common skin conditions, affecting up to 90% of adolescents and young people. But it doesn't stop there, and it's more than skin deep.

This Acne Awareness Month, we're breaking down what causes acne, how to care for your skin, and the myths worth leaving behind. We're also shining a light on how acne can affect confidence, mood, and mental health.

If acne is affecting how you feel, you don't have to manage it alone. Connect with the MembersHealth Care Team for guidance on treatment and medications, or reach out through your EFAP for emotional support.

A concussion can happen in a moment, but its effects may last much longer.

Symptoms are not always immediate or obvious, which is why every possible concussion should be taken seriously. If a concussion is suspected, stop the activity, monitor for symptoms, and seek medical guidance when needed.

Early recognition and appropriate care can support a safer recovery.

On World First Aid Day, take a moment to think about how prepared you would feel in an emergency.

First aid knowledge can help you recognize when something is wrong, take action, and support someone until professional help arrives.

A few simple steps can strengthen your preparedness:
• Refresh your first aid and CPR skills
• Check and restock your first aid kit
• Know where the nearest AED is
• Keep emergency contacts accessible
• Call 9-1-1 when emergency medical help is needed

Preparation starts before an emergency happens.

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we recognize the importance of changing the way we talk about su***de and mental health.

A conversation can be a meaningful first step. Checking in, listening without judgment, and taking someone’s concerns seriously can help create space for people to speak openly and seek support when they need it.

You do not need to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply asking, listening, and helping someone connect with support can make a difference.

If you or someone you know is thinking about su***de, call or text 9-8-8 anywhere in Canada for support, 24/7. If there is immediate danger, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Members with an eligible MembersHealth EFAP can also access confidential In-the-Moment Support.

Start the conversation. Listen. Connect.

Arthritis is often associated with aging, but it can affect people at many stages of life.

Joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and changes in mobility can make everyday activities more difficult, and persistent symptoms should not be ignored.

This Arthritis Awareness Month, take time to recognize the signs, pay attention to changes in your joint health, and seek support when symptoms continue or begin affecting daily life.

If you are experiencing ongoing joint symptoms, MembersHealth can help you connect with a physician to discuss your concerns and determine appropriate next steps.
