When the quiet feels heavy, that's when you know something's stirring inside.
For nine months after I left corporate I filled every quiet moment I could find. A full schedule. Constant doing. Anything to avoid sitting inside the feeling that was waiting for me.
The feeling of grief alongside a sense of loss of self.
I wasn't just grieving leaving a career, I was grieving the realization that the relationships I had poured thirty-eight years into were transactional. When I was no longer useful, I was no longer visible. No calls. No messages. No thinking of you.
Just silence.
In the silence I had to face something I had been avoiding for a while.
I didn't know who I was outside of what I did for other people.
I had been somebody's answer, somebody's solution, somebody's everything for so long that when all of that was gone, I couldn't answer the simplest questions about myself.
What do I enjoy? What brings me joy? What do I actually want?
It took me over a year to begin to answer those questions honestly.
The only way through it was to stop running from the quiet and start leaning into it and listening to it.
The quiet isn't the enemy (even though at times it feels like it). It's where everything you have been carrying finally gets to be set down and released.
The best part, you don't have to do it alone. I wish I had someone there for me when I needed it the most.
That's exactly why I do the work I do. To help women move through the heaviness, the loneliness and the grief of the identities they have been holding onto for so long.
To help them learn to have fun again. To reignite the passion that lights up every part of their life. To find real connection. To build boundaries that actually protect them. And to develop the tools to understand what their mind and body are asking for.
To find ease in their everyday. Life was meant to be enjoyed every step of the way. Let me guide you towards finiding the ease in your life.
If the quiet feels heavy for you right now, DM me RESET and let's talk about what support looks like for you.
