We would like to recognize another hero in healthcare who was presented with a Guardian Angel award recently! The Guardian Angel program celebrates those who have made a significant difference in the lives of their patients, often going above and beyond the call of duty.
Lawrence McCarthy was recognized for his phenomenal work recently and was presented with a Guardian Angel Award from the WRH Foundation. We are grateful for people like Lawrence, who help enhance the experience of the patients of Western Health, making them feel comfortable and important during their journey through our healthcare system.
Lawrence's nominator shared their experience and gratitude with us as follows: "Lawrence, we wanted to reward you for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness you have shown toward our mother. You have gone above and beyond to ensure our mom feels cared for, respected and heard. You have treated her not simply as a patient, but as a person, with dignity and patience, compassion and genuine warmth. You embody everything a Guardian Angel should be, and we cannot thank you enough!"
