FAQ’s

Why a week?
To create more opportunities for participation, especially for schools, people who work Monday through Friday, and community members organizing events.

Do we have to wear our moccasins all week?
Nope! Choose one day, several days, or rock your mocs all week long.

Is there a main day?
Yes! November 15 remains the original Rock Your Mocs celebration day.

Where is RYM held?
Everywhere! Wherever you are and wherever your day takes you. You can also participate in an event in your community or organize one of your own.

Why do we celebrate RYM?
As Indigenous Peoples, we stand united through our individual tribal identities. We symbolically wear our moccasins to honor our ancestors, celebrate our cultures, and recognize Indigenous Peoples worldwide during Rock Your Mocs and National Native American Heritage Month.

🎗️ Breast Cancer Awareness Day 💗 October 13th

Knowledge. Early detection. Better outcomes.

Breast cancer can affect anyone. Raising awareness, recognizing changes in your body, and accessing appropriate screening can make a difference.

💗 Know the signs and speak with a healthcare provider about any unusual changes.
🎗️ Learn about your risk and recommended screening options.
🤝 Support those affected by breast cancer.
🌸 Advocate for accessible, culturally safe, and compassionate care for everyone.

Today, we honour those living with breast cancer, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside survivors, families, and caregivers.

Together, we can raise awareness, strengthen support, and make a difference.
