Hello lovely families. I wanted to make a clinic update here, after a lot of thought and reflection, and after letting clients know in person. Mamatoto will continue to offer service to current and previous clients online, however I will no longer provide in person services in Courtenay. Thank you for the privilege of over a decade of service to your community.

Clinic Update: some of you may be aware that my clinic in Tintown flooded in July. I have an interim clinic across the street, but I will be looking for a new place for my clinic to land at the end of Sept. A permanent space for the in-person work I do. Please feel free to reach out in the DM if you have a space in mind.

Mother’s Day can hold many things at once: joy, grief, gratitude, longing, exhaustion, love, estrangement, healing, hope.

Today, I’m holding space for mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster parents, chosen family, non-binary parents, those trying to become parents, those who have lost children, those grieving mothers, and those for whom this day feels complicated or painful.

Whatever this day means to you — or doesn’t mean — you deserve gentleness, care, and support.

Sending love to all who nurture, protect, create safety, and carry others through the world in ways seen and unseen.

My website is back up. A simple placeholder for my practice.

After a decade as a midwife, and over nine years as a counsellor I am happy to offer my services to adults in the Comox Valley, with a specialization in Maternal Mental health.
