Monday Reminder: “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” — Henry David Thoreau

Just like autumn shows us how beautiful change can be, this Monday is a fresh invitation to look at your life through a lens of grace and possibility. If things feel overwhelming right now, take a deep breath.

Sometimes, all it takes to turn a week around is a slight shift in how we view our challenges.

You have the clarity and strength within you to handle whatever comes your way. Give yourself credit for how far you’ve come, and remember that progress doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

Sending you all the positive, supportive energy for a gentle and fulfilling week ahead. You’ve got this!

What is one small thing you are focusing on or feeling grateful for as you start this week? Let’s lift each other up in the comments!

To everyone celebrating Thanksgiving today, Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃

Looking back at the year I am so grateful for so many things especially memories I have with my friends and family are just some of them.

This photo was taken on a recent road trip, it was only when I got home I noticed the heart!

Thank you for your continued support.

What are you grateful for?

What happens when you slow down enough to really notice?

The changing light.
The sound of the wind through the trees.
The first signs of spring.
The abundance of summer.
The colours and letting go of autumn.
The quiet invitation of winter.

And what happens when, in that quiet, you begin to notice yourself?

The Sunlit Creative Path is an invitation to spend a year exploring the connection between nature, creativity and you.

Across 8 sessions throughout the year, we will explore the changing seasons, the energies they bring and some of the significant turning points in the Wheel of the Year.

We’ll spend time outside noticing, exploring and connecting with the natural world — and then bring those experiences back into our own creative exploration.

There will be making, mark-making, journalling, playing with words, colour and different creative practices.

But this isn’t an art class.

You don’t need to be “good at art”.
There is no right way to create.

Instead, it’s about giving yourself permission to explore.

To follow a colour.
A shape.
A feeling.
A thought.
A tiny spark of curiosity.

And perhaps, as you connect more deeply with the world around you, you’ll find yourself connecting more deeply with your own creativity too.

You’ll also receive a companion book, created especially for the course, with invitations for journalling, nature exploration and creative activities to continue your journey between sessions.

You can dip into it when you want.
Take what feels useful.
Leave what doesn’t.

Let nature inspire your creativity, and your creativity connect you to nature.

I created this picture a couple of years ago in honour of all those who suffered, and those who continue to suffer, because of the residential school system.

As a former teacher, I find it almost impossible to imagine what these children must have felt. A school should be a place where a child feels safe, loved, respected, valued, and cared for. Yet so many Indigenous children were denied those basic feelings of safety and belonging.

Each feather in this picture carries words that describe how every child should feel at school. Sadly, for far too many children, those words were never their reality.

I think of the children, the survivors, and the families who continue to carry this pain.

We remember.
We honour.
We listen.
We will never forget. 🧡

The colours are starting to come! 🍂🍁

I used to not be a fan of autumn because it meant the colder months were on their way, but these days I absolutely love it.

The colours around here are just amazing! I’m not sure I’m quite ready for autumn yet, but I have to say, the weather has been wonderful. ☀️

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and I hope the sun is shining wherever you are! ❤️
