💙👩‍⚕️ Happy Pediatric Nurses Week! 👨‍⚕️💙

This week, we’re celebrating the pediatric nurses who bring skill, compassion, and heart to the care of children and families every day.

In pediatric cardiac care, nurses are there for so much more than the clinical moments. They comfort, advocate, educate, encourage and celebrate alongside children and their families through every step of the journey. 🌟

To all the pediatric nurses across Western Canada and beyond, thank you for the difference you make, every single day. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re proud to celebrate you this week! ❤️

Honoured to be at SAIT this week and see Beyond the Textbook in action.

Through WCCHN’s Heart Boosts initiative, we were proud to help support Kierra Irvine’s guest lectures, bringing the lived experience of families affected by complex medical needs, including CHD, into the classroom.

Seeing the impact firsthand was a wonderful reminder of the power of shared knowledge, lived experience, and education. ❤️

As children grow, their strengths, needs, and goals change. Regularly checking in with teachers, reviewing supports, and celebrating progress can help ensure learning plans continue to meet your child’s needs throughout their school years.
