Yes ❤️

A lot of what happens for us in life happens because somebody remembered us. A former coworker gets asked if they know anyone good. A friend hears about an opportunity and thinks, “She would be perfect for this.” Someone mentions your name simply because they had a good experience with you years ago.

It’s a good reminder that relationships have a much longer life than the moment we’re in. The way people feel after working with you, knowing you, or watching how you carry yourself can travel into places you may never know about.

I bought my quad a few years ago after one ride as a passenger, and I regret nothing! If you ride, you know what I mean, and if you don't, maybe you should! If I can switch from dress clothes to mud gear in zero seconds with a smile on my face, anything is possible!

This past weekend, we went to the Bigfoot Charity Poker Rally to support Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue. Mud, water, sun, fun... all for charity and the important work they do for community. And it was the best day with hundreds of machines and people riding like they owned the day (minus the tornado at the end of it all)! Can't wait for next year!

What do you do for fun, to recharge, and energize? In a time when "busy" in life is an understatement, what are you busy doing for you? I hope you do what ignites and inspires you as often as you can. It changes things in the office and out, when you do.

Great post, awesome reads!

The right book at the right time can shift everything. Yesterday was Wold Book Day.

Our life coach, Lydia Duncan, often reminds clients that growth doesn’t always start with a big breakthrough; sometimes it begins quietly, with a single idea that lands differently. A sentence that challenges your perspective. A chapter that makes you pause and reflect.

These are some of Lydia's favourite books. They work as tools. Invitations. Mirrors.
Each one offers a different opportunity:
• Deeper self-awareness
• Letting go of old patterns
• Rewiring the way you think and feel
• Coming back into alignment with who you truly are

Which one is calling to you right now?

Reading is just the beginning. Integration is where transformation happens.
So if you pick one up, don’t rush it. Sit with it. Journal. Notice what comes up. Let it work on you. True growth is about becoming more intentional with what you take in.

If you'd like more support as you grow, book a free consultation with Lydia today.

❤️ Chronic pain, migraines, mood changes, and insomnia can be somatic responses to stressful experiences and "stuck" emotions/trauma. Let's talk and work through some of it. Day and evening, in-person and virtual sessions available. Maristinsbookings.janeapp.com

Deep truth: all true healing happens when it leads to the body knowing that it is safe.

Creating felt safety is the quiet foundation that calms chronic inflammation, regulates your nervous system, and brings hormones, inflammation and gut health back into balance. When your nervous system finally registers “I am safe,” it shifts out of survival mode and into repair — digestion improves, inflammation quiets, hormones stabilize, and deep healing becomes possible.

You send these safety signals in both physical and mind-body ways.

Physically: stable blood sugar, healing the gut, foods that love your body back, clearing environmental toxins, restorative sleep, hydration all make the body feel safe.

Mind-body: slow breathwork with longer exhales, safe self-touch, compassionate inner dialogue, co-regulation with trusted people, grounding practices, vagal nerve stimulation, time in nature or somatic movements to clear past trauma and stress.

Your body is always listening for proof that the danger has passed. Give it consistent safety signals — small, repeatable, and kind — and watch inflammation ease, your nervous system soften, and your hormones find their natural rhythm.
