😯Not your typical Transformation Tuesday...
When I was 29 (first pic) I had NO idea who I was or what I wanted in life. I look peaceful and pretty though, and it’s easy to wish for that youth (and hair) once more...
This photo was taken on my first ever visit to Costa Rica, with my then fiancé (we all know how THAT turned out).
Back then I was bankrupt, unemployed, a closeted bulimic and somewhat functioning alcoholic. My father was dying and I had so much pain in my heart. 4 months after that image was captured, I was homeless and helpless, crashing in the unfinished basement of my friend’s house in Parkdale Toronto as my engagement fell apart. Not long after that I nearly died after swallowing a spatula while using it to throw up.
That breakDOWN of mySelf was a massive turning point.
Oh, the breakTHROUGHS we’ve experienced since, she and I...

Me of today has gotten her sh*t together!
I am 17 years older, lighter, happier, and FREEer than 29 year old me could ever have dreamed. I may have more wrinkles, more (healed) trauma, and a body that’s birthed 2 babies, but Goddess am I grateful.
In the nearly 2 decades that have passed since that first trip to the land of pura vida, I have reinvented and rebirthed myself a million times over.
Massive career shift(s), marriage and divorce, sobriety, car accidents, good and bad trips, an unraveling of a narrative around healing and plant medicine that I was brainwashed to believe, and two babies and new engagement to boot.
My point of this post is this:
It’s never, ever, EVER too late to make change.
The world is constantly evolving and so are we.
On our deathbed, we’re not going to be so obsessed with our identity as much as we are with knowing that we walked with integrity… in this life, with our people, on this earth.
Trying to go back to a version of us that once was is impossible. And often that “once upon a time” we recall was not all that perfect as it may appear in our mind.
It’s time we embrace who we are NOW and expand that Self into truth.
If you are feeling stuck, broken, tired, or bored...
Breathe.
