SPA administers and operates the Trust Lands (Public Beach, playground, Upper Wharf, leaf dump), organizes community events, and promotes the interests of the Sturgeon Point community (formerly the Village of Sturgeon Point) within the CoKL. The Sturgeon Point Association (SPA) is a non-profit Ontario corporation which was created in anticipation of the amalgamation of the Village of Sturgeon Point into the newly created City of Kawartha Lakes (CoKL) in 2001.

SPA Annual General Meeting reminder!

Please join us for the Sturgeon Point Association Annual General Meeting this Saturday.

Come hear updates on SPA activities and current projects, learn what's ahead for the Point, and have your say in our community.

With the municipal election coming up this fall, we have also invited candidates for Mayor and Ward 3 Councillor to attend the AGM and introduce themselves to the community.

A reminder that you must have an active SPA membership to vote at the AGM. Haven't renewed yet? We'll have a membership table set up outside before the meeting so you can renew on the spot, or you can renew online at www.sturgeonpoint.com.

In advance of the meeting you can review both the agenda and last year's minutes. Links to files can be found on the website.

The SPA COMMUNITY SPRING CLEAN-UP

Join us this Sunday, May 31st at 10:00 AM for the Community Spring Clean-Up.

We’ll meet in the park and work together to help get the Point ready for the season ahead. This year’s clean-up will also include spreading mulch in the park, so volunteers are especially appreciated.

Please bring:
âś” Gloves
âś” Sturdy shoes
âś” A willingness to pitch in

Student volunteer hours are available.
