Hi there everyone!!!!

We hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather we are having🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁. However this weather is a reminder that the colder times are fast approaching. With those colder months ahead come lots of celebrations, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and many other get togethers in between. ✨Meet Danielle✨

Hi everyone!! My name is Danielle, and I am one of the proud founders of ‘We Go with You Support Services.
I would like to share a little bit about myself, and why this business venture is so close to my heart.

‘We Go with You Support Services’ was created from a simple belief that sometimes we all need a little extra support.
I think I first realized it was my destiny to help people when as a child, I would visit my Great-Grandma in a Long-term Care home. I remember noticing that the care some of the residents received seemed less than desirable. I can still remember thinking to myself “I know I could make a difference to people living in Long-term Care”. That feeling stayed with me and ultimately led me to a career in health care.
For 16 years, I have had the privilege of working in this field. After graduating from the Health Care Aide Program at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George, BC, I began working immediately in a Long-Term Care home, before unexpectedly making Grand Prairie, AB my home. I continued my career at the Grande Prairie Care Centre, where I met Sarah. What began as a friendship quickly became a lifelong bond, and over the years we have supported one another through some of life’s biggest moments. It only made sense to start this venture with someone I knew was as passionate about helping others as I was.

After becoming a mom to my beautiful daughter in 2017, I felt ready to make a change. That opportunity came through Home Care, where I have continued to support clients in their own homes. Along the way, I also began working casually at Hospice, work that has become especially meaningful to me.
Working at Hospice is truly a passion of mine. Being able to care for someone during their final moments is an incredible honor. It is so much more than a job to me, it truly is where my heart is.

Over the years, I have learned that it isn’t always the big things that make the biggest difference, it’s the simple things. It’s a smile when someone is having a difficult day; it’s bringing someone their favorite little treat; It’s a cheerful “Good Morning”! It’s taking a little bit of extra time when you could have hurried away. Sometimes, it’s simply sitting beside someone and being comfortable in the silence.
Those little moments of kindness, compassion and connection can mean more than we realize.
Supporting people has always been a part of who I am. I take great pride in offering comfort, companionship, reassurance and practical help when people need it the most.

‘We Go with You Support Services’ is a small way for Sarah and I to give back to the community we love. We want people to know that they don’t have to navigate life’s important moments or everyday challenges alone.
Whether it’s accompanying someone to an important appointment or life event, helping with errands or simply being there when an extra set of hands and a caring presence would make all the difference, because sometimes, you don’t need someone to do it for you, you just need someone to ‘Go with You’.

✨ Meet Sarah ✨

Hi everyone, Sarah here! I thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about my journey and why We Go With You Support Services means so much to me.

For the past 13 years, I've worked as a Health Care Aide, and honestly, I always knew this was the path I was meant to take. Growing up, I spent a lot of time visiting seniors' homes to see my great-grandparents and grandparents. Watching the caregivers and seeing the impact they made inspired me to pursue a career caring for others.

I began my Health Care Aide journey in Edmonton, where I attended school and worked in group homes and seniors' care facilities. After moving back to Grande Prairie, I've spent the last 11 years caring for seniors in our community.

Supporting people living with dementia holds a special place in my heart. If I can make a positive difference in even one person's day, then I've done what I set out to do. Caring for others truly makes my heart happy.

A few years ago, I went back to school to become a Medical Office Assistant, thinking it might be time for a change. What I discovered was that my passion has always been hands on care, and that's where my heart belongs however I am excited this new adventure gives me the opportunity to use all my skills.

About 10 years ago, I met Danielle, and we quickly became friends. We both share a passion for helping others and often talked about ways we could better support families in our community. That's how We Go With You Support Services was born. We wanted to help families ensure their loved ones can attend life's important moments, whether it's a wedding, funeral, family gathering, or special event, while receiving the care and support they need.

When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with my wonderful husband, Jordan, and our two beautiful children. I also enjoy homeschooling, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, walks with my dogs, going to church, and thrift shopping.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I'm honoured to serve our community and look forward to helping families create meaningful memories together. ❤️
