Guelph Osteopathy Osteopathy for active people At Guelph Osteopathy we take an holistic approach to healthcare and body function.

Our bodies function as a whole system so we should care for them as a whole system. In order for our bodies to function optimally, we must take care of all aspects, including exercise and movement, nutrition, sleep, hydration and manual therapy. It is this approach that we take with all our patients.

The Gym Heals ❤️‍🩹

Jiu jitsu doesn't announce what it's doing to you. Mental toughness shows up as things that used to feel enormous quietly getting smaller.

1. You stop negotiating with yourself.
2. Hard things feel shorter.
3. You bounce back faster when something doesn't go to plan.

Number three is the real marker. Anyone can have a good week — it's the bounce back that shows what's changed.

Lori Ireton-Paul and I enjoyed a tour of the Guelph General Hospital Speedvale Campus. 🏨 It was an interesting and positive experience seeing what's been done and learning about the expansion.
Fun fact: everyone in the picture has trained in karate, and three are black belts. 🥋

2. You're irritable for no clear reason.
3. You've said 'I'll start Monday' more than twice.

With prolonged high temperatures, it's important to take steps to protect yourself and those around you.

Extreme heat can increase the risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, especially for older adults, infants and young children, people with chronic health conditions, and those who live alone. Check in on family, friends and neighbours, stay hydrated, and spend time in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.

To stay safe during the heat:
-Drink water regularly, even before you feel thirsty.
-Cool off in air-conditioned buildings when you can.
-Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
-Keep curtains and blinds closed to help keep your home cool.
-Never leave people or pets in a parked vehicle.
