Fire c***r has become one of my favorite kitchen medicines. I mostly use it for immune support during the cold season and because I love the taste. People have told me how it helped them with respiratory issues and improved their circulation.

It is super easy to make and can be adapted to everyone's taste, needs, and preferences. Come and make some with me on October 17 at Vista Outdoor Learning Centre near Whitehorse!

We've already had two amazing herbal self-care workshops this year and the third is yet to come! I had to postpone the February 28 workshop on adaptogens to Saturday May 23, so if you missed out, there's another chance!

Adaptogens are very popular these days and we will go over how they can help us with physical and mental stress, immunity, and hormone balance among many other things. These amazing herbs have several properties in common, yet have their particularities and special affinities as well. Come and learn about them, so you can choose the adaptogens that work best for you!

Each participant will be able to make two different potions (tincture or glycerite) with the adaptogens of their choosing. And as a little bonus, we will also go over how (and why) to make a dual extraction, a technique commonly used for medicinal mushrooms. Ready to come and make some healing potions?

The workshop will take place Saturday, May 23 from 2pm to 5pm at the Wildwood Medicinal Herb Farm in Haines Junction. If you have questions or would like to sign up, simply email at [email protected] or find out more here:
