A piece with subject matter a little close to my heart. A Selkie for darling Maxine.
I have a special recollection of being up late late at night with my fussy baby who couldn’t sleep from teething, and putting on one of my favourite movies for us to snuggle up to.. The Secret of Roan Inish. She soothed and finally slept, and that moment of my wee sleeping babe on my chest in the morning twilight will always be one of my most treasured memories. Thanks Maxine, for bringing that peaceful love-filled memory to the surface for me. 💜 🦭
