THEY say the quickest way to become who you want to be is to bite off more than you can chew and figure out how to chew it.

Which sounds great in theory 🙈🫠

But can we talk about what that actually feels like while you’re in it?

Because sometimes it feels like you’re absolutely crushing it, and other times it feels like you’re one minor inconvenience away from lying face down on the floor and questioning every decision you’ve ever made.

I think we romanticize growth a lot. We celebrate the finished product, the big decisions, the brave leaps, the resilience. But resilience doesn’t always feel like strength when you’re in the middle of it. Sometimes it feels like overwhelm, doubt, exhaustion, and wondering what the hell you’ve gotten yourself into.

And maybe that’s part of it. Growing pains can … well hurt

So if you’re in the messy middle of something right now, remember that you’re allowed to ask for help. You’re allowed to not have it all figured out. You’re allowed to find the process hard, even when you know it’s something you want.

You don’t have to look like you’re thriving every step of the way to be growing.

Sometimes you’re just taking the next bite, trying to figure out how to chew it.

Cheers to trying to not choke and also sucking at painting 🎨🖌️✨

Beyond exciting 🩵✨

Painted Brick Wellness has been featured in a Jane customer story!

Recently I was interviewed and shared a little behind-the-scenes look at how we built a wellness collective where every practitioner runs their own independent business, while still getting to be part of something bigger!

There’s been a lot of heart, a lot of trial and error, and a whole lot of community behind what we’ve been building! It feels pretty special to see our Hamilton small business making our way to corporate office meetings and being featured !!

Anytime I get to talk about my mom it always feels so special 🤍

Outdoorsy Pals made it into the story too 🥹🌿

What started as an idea to help women find friendship and community through getting outside has grown into something I’m so proud to be apart of 💛!

It feels pretty fitting that a story about building spaces for connection would include the community that Victoria and I have been building outside of the treatment room too. 🥾☕️🩵

Cheers to our 1 year anniversary next week 🥳🎉

Check us out Outdoorsy Pals for all our October fun ☀️🍁✨

As you know Painted Brick Wellness is growing in a BIG way!

We’re moving into a much bigger space with 10 treatment rooms, more practitioners, more collaboration and so much more room to dream up what comes next.

One of the things that has made this growth possible is having systems that can grow with us. Jane has given us the flexibility to support each practitioner’s individual business while also making it possible to manage everything together as a collective.

Thank you Jane (and Jack my go to guy at Jane) for the feature !

We love working with you and we are so grateful to have you on the team keeping everything running smoothly ! It’s been so special getting to be a lot more involved with Jane over the last few months. What I’ve really learned is how deeply they care about supporting the people using their product to make sure we can thri

We are LOVING the tiles and wallpaper! 💛✨

The ideas are stirring, the vision is coming together, and now we just have to actually do it all 🎨🔨

Reno update !! 🎨🔨

We’re officially in the stage of figuring out ALL the details… tile, wall colours, trim, doors, flooring… there are a lot of decisions happening over here!

We’ve also officially finalized our wallpaper !!

We originally had our hearts set on lots of colourful options but the more we played around with everything, the more we realized we didn’t want the space to feel overwhelming. So we landed on something much more calm and neutral 🤍

It’s a pretty stark difference from the wallpaper that was in the space before, but I think it’s going to blend so beautifully with everything else we’re bringing in!!

We’re really trying to create that feeling of calm, colourful, a little bit regal. A client recently said that Jackson felt regal, and honestly… we realized I think that’s exactly the feeling we’re going for. 👑

There’s still A LOT ahead of us, but slowly, slowly, it’s all starting to come together!!

Our messy middle is getting a little less messy every day!

What do you think about tiles, colours wallpaper !!??

Reno update tour 🔨🎨

We’ve ripped out all the old dirty carpets and wallpaper and now we have a pretty blank slate !! We’re at the stage of putting it all back together !!

The messy middle: prepping all the floors, choosing the tile for the front hallway, picking out colours + wallpaper and adding in some walls and also some pocket doors to allow for larger gatherings with conjoining rooms!

Anything you’d like to know or see as we keep showing the progress !?

See you at the next one !

🤍🤍🤍

AND we’re onto wallpaper + colour 🎨

We have a vision for how we want this space to look and feel: calming, warm, a little regal, lots of character, and still FUN!!

We’re working with a century home, older furniture and 14 different rooms, so making everything feel cohesive without making it too overwhelming is definitely a bit of a task!

We’re so excited to be working with designer Rebekah Rebekah // Interior Consultant on this part of the process with the space. We have the ideas and she has the design expertise to help us pull the vision all together!

Rebekah was also a lifesaver at Jackson when the decision fatigue hit and she chose the colour for our massive green bookcases! They are truly a show stopper!and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!!

So here are a few wallpaper options we’re playing with and colour palate concepts !! We’d love to know which one YOU would pick for our front hall and up the stairs 👀

OUT with the old!! 👋🏼

12 rooms and hallways of very old stained carpet are officially OUT, and it already feels like a completely different space. These carpets were actually glued down with NO staple strips so this was actually a pretty quick removal which was so incredibly kind of the renovations gods 🤍🤍🤍

Between the carpet rolls and the satisfying wallpaper rips, this was definitely our favourite renovation day ✨

Now it’s time to prep the floors for something MUCH more beautiful!!

Cheers to rolling our way to being one step closer to opening our doors!
