Our very own Life & Death Doula Hayley will be leading "Dinner with a Death Doula" hosted at Hexen Haven on September 10th!
A shared experience among good company and ancestral energies!
Details below!
DINNER WITH A DEATH DOULA
An Evening of Conversation, Connection & Ancestral Wisdom
Death has always been part of the human journey — a threshold our ancestors understood as sacred. Yet today, we are often separated from the conversations, rituals and wisdom that once helped us navigate the mysteries of death and dying.
What if we could begin to reclaim some of that wisdom?
Join Hayley Nielsen of Life & Death Doula Hayley for an intimate evening of shared food, conversation and connection.
As a Death Doula, Celtic Seidr, and Energy Worker, Hayley supports the community in the sacred spaces of living and dying — those liminal spaces between what was, what is, and what is yet to come.
Dinner with a Death Doula is a space to speak openly about death and dying, without fear or judgement, while exploring the emotional, spiritual and practical aspects of this profound transition.
Together, we’ll explore the choices available to us, including alternatives to traditional funerals and different approaches to death and after-death care that may better reflect our wishes, values, and beliefs. We’ll also look to the past, exploring ancestral rites of passage, death traditions, and the rituals that once helped communities honour the journey from one threshold to the next.
The evening will unfold organically over a shared meal, creating space for stories, questions, and reflection. We’ll close with a Shamanic drumming ceremony, creating sacred space to connect with guides and ancestors and receive whatever wisdom or healing may be offered.
Thursday, September 10th
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Hexen Haven
$15 per person (via e-transfer)
Registration is required as space is limited.
This will be a monthly gathering for the next four months; come for one, several, or join us for them all.
Come share a meal. Sit together at the threshold. Listen for the wisdom of those who came before us...and perhaps begin to see death through a different lens.🖤
