When I drink Coke or Pepsi, It's diet or sugar free.
At the age of 41 I can't handle 45 g of sugar in one serving like that.
That would kill me, personally speaking.

Week 3. Day 1. Up 4lbs.

Could I have "written off this week" based on my injury? Sure. But I think the setbacks are just as important as the successes.

I am back up on my ankle today, forcing myself to walk through the pain so I can get back to my life on Monday. I'm not totally convinced I shouldn't go back and get it re-xrayed, but the swelling is going down, the bruising is coming in and I can wiggle my toes. All good signs 👌

As for this week in food- the challenge was absolutely the least of my concerns. If I wanted a burrito, that's what I had. Last night, I had the O'Baby Poutine and Mushroom Dog from Pisanos. This week, it was about healing up, taking the time I needed to get through this injury so I can get back to my life.

I'm hopeful with the kids going back to school, they'll reopen the gyms so I can get back to working with Visionary Fitness 4 U. I'm confident Farr will know exactly how to get me back up and training in a healthy, safe way.

When I broke the 200 mark at the top of this challenge, it broke my spirit. After losing the weight last year, I was adamant not to cross 200 again, and I did.

Being this big again is soul-crushing for me. I think back to all the work I'd done, and the anger that rises up inside - it can be consuming. The fact that I could lose 60lbs in just over 6 months, and put back 30 in less than 4 .. it's hard.

Women are naturally hard on themselves. But being single in my 40s - not what I'd had planned. And it's not the weight - it's carrying around my midsection again. Why dudes are able to carry bellies and women can't is mystery I'll never understand.

But what I do know is that this bodybuilding competition is in September. And not weight, or injured ankles, or the occasional pity party thought is going to deter me from entering. 🥰

Day 1 of Week 2 - just under 5lbs lost. 👊

I needed this little bump of motivation. This is what tells me I'm on the right track, despite the insane setbacks this week.

On smoking 🚬 - last weekend was the worst. The absolute fu***ng worst. I was shaky and awful and angry. I don't know what happened, maybe my stress level was different? But I couldn't quit cold turkey. And now I've accepted that I'm slowly cutting it out. One day I had none. One day I had three. But getting angry with myself that I couldn't quit is only making me want to smoke more.

On working out with Farr - now that gyms have been closed under pandemic that never stopped, I've been forced to wait to train. Even my gym at my building is closed, and we were only allowed in one at a time. I really miss my treadmill ... BUT - please see the next point 👉

On house cleaning - well, I could totally ditch the cardio based on house cleaning alone! This was my first week, and I gotta say this: those who clean houses are doing the Lord's work. Lol it was grueling, and heavy lifting, and strenuous. It is physically demanding. And I just put on my headphones and kill it house after house.

I knew I was burning calories, but here's what I learned. At my weight, and the 15 hours I cleaned this week:

Custodial work, light effort (e.g. cleaning sink and toilet, dusting, vacumming - 3250 calories.

What! 💪

On food: I did well, and then I slid. Then I did well. And then I slid. I DID weigh the majority of my food, prepared as best I could. But it takes time to work a new routine into place. I gave into a cauliflower crust pizza in Amherstview on Wednesday. And yesterday a half Pinsa from Pisanos. Oh - and I allowed a caprese sandwich (on a wrap, not a bun) from Tim's. That's three times I was really disappointed in myself. But similarly, I have to remember I didn't reach for a Big Mac or order up mountains of mouth watering pizza.

On what this week looks like - just about 5lbs down in a week feels fu***ng amazing. And to be almost totally smoke free, even better. Plus transitioning to a new work load, and juggling a new lifestyle is not for the faint of heart. I cleaned houses all day, and drove deliveries every night. It's been tough. But I made it.

I'll blog tonight with all my meals.
Thank you to everyone who reached out and sent love and support. You'll never know what kind of impact you had. Thank you.

Let's do this! 💪

Another great Visionary Fitness PowerFit Sunday session. Two classes today. Both groups brought the strength and energy. Super proud of everyone for pushing their limit 💪

Yesterday I hurt my back opening the garbage can lid lol. I have a history of sciatica and disc issues. I always try to work through it but normally I have little to no success for days and sometimes weeks. However. With the help of meds and the time I have spent working on my core I may have done something preventive. Today my back is not super sore just sore. And I was able to do some light slow body weight squats I did 4 sets of 20 plus a 50 set burnout. I stopped at the slightest hint of tightness. I also did 4 sets of 15 push-ups. Now for a hot shower and work the rest of the day. I'll see how my body reacts and adjust accordingly. Here is to pushing to the limit and not through causing further damages. I'm leading to leave the ego behind.
One more for good luck. Feeling great. Sweaty but great
Got my butt kicked by shore leave today. Happy for it. But I did get a laugh out of this bucket in my basement. It says I'm no longer allowed to do RDL'S. Lol
Today was a disappointing morning. No electricity and I was not prepared for breakfast. So I was behind. Work was super busy so I was not able to eat lunch until after 3 pm. Ate a bit of chicken and decided to rock shore leave. Was finally able to do it fully completely. And held each position for the full 30 seconds.
Soaked in sweat. Gotta rock some cardio today probably hit the heavy bag for a bit and some ground and pound again. Sorry for the long post feeling like I need it for some reason.
Much love to everyone
Decided to add some cardio to the end of my shore leave today. I did 2 rounds one for one minute and the second for maybe 30 seconds. I used to be able to do this stuff for an hour with good form and still be ok after. Today was the first day of the journey back to being able o do 3 full rounds with snap and power. Sorry for the mess.
This is what happens when you do the assault bike pyramid....it will lay you out flat!!
Welcome to this week's edition of Free Match Friday, where we look back at some of the greatest and most important matches in Chinlock Wrestling history.

This week's episode is LOADED with guest appearances. First, and arguably most importantly, this week's guest host is none other than the host of Brodezilla TV, Brodezilla himself! Plus, we're taking a look back at Chinlock 4 at the Queen's ARC in Kingston, Ontario. Pay attention to the end of this match, as there's a very special appearance from legendary former WWE General Manager Vickie Guerrero! Plus, special guest appearances by Gino's Pizza & Spaghetti Amherstview owner Noele G Murano, Visionary Fitness 4 U guru Farr Ramsahoye, and "The Boss Man" from What Don't You Know, RJ Card!

But, of course, lets not forget about the match itself, as we go back and look at Jessie Mack's very first championship title defense, against TNA Knockouts legend Madison Rayne, as officiated by legendary former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas!

As always, make sure to stay tuned to our page (www.facebook.com/ChinlockWrestling) and our YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/ChinlockWrestling), as well as our website (www.ChinlockWrestling.com) for all of the latest information and news!

A special thanks goes out to YourTV Kingston for the footage!
