Iโ€™m so excited to be entering the Fall season after a busy last few months. Iโ€™ll be posting my October schedule soon if youโ€™re thinking about having your horse seen for bodywork.

A fall session is great to:

๐Ÿ‚ Have a baseline of how theyโ€™re feeling after competing post show season

๐Ÿ‚ Release any accumulated tension

๐Ÿ‚ Support them during a change of season and fluctuating temperatures

Send me a message to book.

A narrow base can indicate postural dysfunction, difficulties in engaging the thoracic sling muscles and occasionally poor hoof balance.

My second session with this jumper, focused on deeper work to loosen and mobilize the back, help him to engage the abdominals for core stability, working with the fascia in the chest and sternum to provide more space for more range of motion.

While taking a whole body approach to release any tension elsewhere in the body that may be contributing to this compensation pattern in his posture. ๐Ÿ’ซ

I met Holly and her horses, Duke and Gage, back in the spring through mutual friends. Over the course of three months of working with them, I saw a big impact on how they unwinded compensation patterns, became stronger, more balanced, and overall happier horses.

This wasn't all just in the bodywork; this was also the owner's part in doing her homework, incorporating light riding and pole work. This gave the horses' bodies time to process, adjust, and start to use the muscles that had been holding tension, which had been released. This is where you can truly see the effects take place.

One of Holly's horses was particularly guarded, but with consistent sessions and building trust with him, he became more social, still, and letting himself process and let go of his past experiences.

Thank you, Holly, for your trust, having me as part of their care team, and for all that you do for your horses. ๐Ÿค

We are halfway through August and it feels like it just started.

To those effected by the wildfires that came upon us, to the families that lost homes, animals and returning to a place that will never be the same. My heart goes out to you and to those dealing with the heaviness of it all. It has been a tough few weeks in the Okanagan.

Iโ€™ve had to cancel several sessions due to the smoke, but I hope I can get back to it with clearer skies ahead and better air quality to work in.

I will be working through my follow-up list to get back on schedule.

Thank you for your patience. ๐Ÿค

1. ๐Ž๐›๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ

Notice if they are feeling temporary muscle soreness from tissue manipulations, such as stiffness. This is a sign of the body adjusting to the release of compensation patterns and tension, the fascia is re-organizing and toxins are releasing. Provide light hand-walking, groundwork or extra turnout time post session if your horse is presenting stiffness.

The body is finding a new way to move. You may feel that they carry themselves differently, integrating new movement patterns. They can often feel softer and more loose. Easing back into ridden work is important to avoid triggering compensation patterns.

Notice any licking, chewing or yawning, a full-body shake, increased water intake and bathroom activity. Visible skin changes such sweat patches and/ or raised blood vessels (perfectly normal and usually resolves within a day).

All great signs of further release and processing!

Hello everyone!

These last few months have been so busy with life, bodywork sessions, wedding planning and all the everyday tasks in between. We are less than a month away from our big wedding day and it feels like a sprint.

Iโ€™m still working through my list of follow ups and bookings. I will be taking time off July 19th- August 4th, returning to sessions first week of August. Iโ€™m so excited to be entering this next chapter in life. ๐Ÿค

Thank you for all the support and kindness lately, it means more than you know.

Tony the ponyโ€™s bodywork progress โœจ

The owner had concerns regarding his back; looking at his before photos, there is much more than that. Tension lines often mean there is dysfunction in the body.

After two sessions, we can see such an improvement: softer tissue, building muscles and topline. A big change was his demeanor, being more calm, relaxing, and entering his parasympathetic nervous system in his second session.

Change often happens in weeks, not days. Consistency is what makes the best results, and that looks different with every case.

Canโ€™t wait to see how this pony feels in the next few sessions. โ˜บ๏ธ
