👇 SHOW ME YOUR CO-REGULATORS:
Leave a pic of your furry co-regulators.
Animals are masters of the present moment. They don’t try to logic their way out of stress; they shake it off, stretch, and return immediately to rest. 🐾✨
When your human nervous system is screaming in fight-or-flight, your brain might be racing, but your body responds beautifully to the steady, grounded frequency of an animal.
Borrowing their calm is a literal form of somatic co-regulation.
Just sitting with your hands on their fur, matching your breath to their slow rising chest, or listening to a cat purr sends an immediate safety signal to your amygdala. It tells your brain: "If they are safe enough to rest, I am safe enough to soften."
