The body has an incredible capacity to repair itself ✨

When working with a horse recovering from a wound, my goal is to provide thoughtful, supportive care alongside vet recommendations. Microcurrent is a tool I use to better understand how we can support the body's natural healing process.

THINK small details + individual needs = whole horse perspective 🐴

This is micro current therapy being used as part of an equine bodywork session. Micro current uses very low level electrical currents with biofeedback to find and fix imbalances at cellular level, but no one tool does everything. The goal is always to meet the horse in front of me and use the tools that make sense for THAT horse 🐴

I love having another tool available to support a horse's body alongside hands on work, but no one tool does everything. The goal is always to meet the horse in front of me and use the tools that make sense for THAT horse.

Bodywork isn't only something we reach for when there's a problem. It can be part of maintaining comfort, supporting mobility, noticing changes early and helping your horse and dog to simply feel good in their body. This mare settled into her massage on one those muggy days we've had this summer here in Ontario, but I believe she appreciated my effort... while she was awake πŸ˜†

Think of massage as another piece of the puzzle. Movement. Nutrition. Recovery. Environment. Veterinary care. Bodywork.

One of my favourite parts of working with horses? The moment they let go of their stress. I can actually feel it happen underneath my hands. The tension level changes, the tissue softens and the horse finally exhales. And suddenly there's this beautiful shift from holding to releasing ✨

Those moments are why I love this work so much πŸ’›

That moment when their jaw softens. Their neck drops. Their breathing changes. Their eyes get heavy. Those little things matter. I love watching a horse go from 'What are you doing...?!' to 'Ohhh... THAT. ' πŸ˜†

Good bodywork isn't about making a horse tolerate you, it's about building enough trust that they can participate in the process.

More pressure isn't always better. Sometimes the most effective thing I can do is slow down, soften my hands and the horse space to respond. Bodywork isn't about 'forcing' a release, it's about creating the conditions where the body can CHOOSE to release and quite often the horse knows exactly what they need.
