They grow up so fast. These little humans can teach us so much about what life is really about if we just slow down and pay attention. We’ve all been sniffly and sick for just over a week, but always happy. Extra snuggles and time with this one make it totally okay to stick to home and ourselves for a while. I’d even call it a blessing. Nowhere to go, nowhere to be. Pajamas to shower to pajamas is acceptable. Extra sleep and less structure. *happy sigh* ❤️

As a busy mom, whether you're new to it, or have been doing it for a while, you know that getting proper nutrition for ourselves and our families is always a challenge. By ensuring that you are properly fueled up with excellent nutrition, you have the energy to create the same for your family. The Nutrimeal shakes are complete meal replacements and the bars are a staple for me for on the go snacks.

Two, wait THREE things we do wrong when trying to get our kids to eat more veggies:
1. We buy them from the grocery store. When farmers markets are in season, you HAVE to go. The difference in taste from the right vendors make an astronomical difference. That’s right, I said ASTRONOMICAL. Second best is local health food stores that at least do their best to source local foods. And yeah, even organic foods from the wrong companies taste like cardboard.
2. We expect them to love it plain. Most of us eat veggies in some kind of dish, so don’t be afraid to spice them up. Easy on the salt, but go to town with spices!
3. Atudies have shown kids know what they need. If they just don’t want broccoli but love peppers, for the love of veggies just give them the peppers!! They will go through phases. You can keep offering, but don’t force things as that only makes them hate the thing more. Offer things different ways. Steamed, raw, baked.

The Cereal Lineup: No Sugar Here
Cereal makes a great breakfast or snack but it’s not easy to find the ones with wholesome ingredients and the hardest one, no sugar. After scouring so many labels, here are my favourites (and more importantly, Daisy’s) 🙂
Quinoa Crisps
Sorghum Crisps
Kamut Puffs ( by Nature’s Path)
Rice Crisps
Millet Flakes, Corn Flakes, Whole O’s all by Nature’s Path, fruit juice sweetened
Organic homemade granola by my friend who uses honey that she likes mixed with plain yogurt

Of course she likes sugar, as special treats but we need to make sure that on the regular, added sugars make as little of an appearance as possible. Hope this helps!
