Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there … and since I am really bad with social media, I wanted to include a belated Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. If it helps, my mom always told me when I was a youngling that everyday is Mother’s Day … so I’m still listening to mom & taking her advice for this one!!!

It’s been just over a day since and I saw the eclipse in Quebec. I had that date marked in my calendar for over 1 1/2 years and as I got closer to the date, my excitement grew for the possibilities that I would be witnessing. I always loved astronomy, and this is one of the biggest events one could witness. I still don’t have the words to describe what I experienced. Special? Awesome? Spiritual?

It felt like science class! I was hoping to see things like the Purkinje effect/vertical & horizontal shadows being clear & blurred @ the same time/shadow bands. Sadly, I didn’t get to see these things for myself.

We were situated on a quiet spot overlooking a lake and patiently waited for “the moment” … and when it came … just breath taking. To feel the extreme temperature change from warm to cold/watching the birds scatter & chatter/watching the wind pick up over the water/seeing the sky turn to night in seconds yet day in the horizon. But the glow coming from around the moon … just amazing beyond words.

I still have to tidy up my photos, but thought I should put something up for now

It’s often said that nature isn’t perfect. This may be one of the few exceptions: for a planetary body, a natural satellite & our closet star to be in perfect alignment for this spectacle to occur … perfection. It’s the only place in our solar system where this can happen. Maybe that’s why it’s still bending my brain. A rare phenomenon to witness, and I got to see it for myself.

Glad I made the trip for this lifetime experience!!

On the lighter side of things, finished this 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle with last night. Probably took us 8 hours to do, but I’d say the end result looks pretty nice! Went a little batty at the very end b/c one piece was missing (eventually found hiding on the carpet)!

It’s been a project in the making for over 20 years, but more so since September of this year when I moved to the new building. What once was an empty space has been transformed into my beautiful new clinic!!

Nat for helping me out with the photos! Took a long time, but the end result was worth it!

The team for taking me in. I’m kinda like a squirrel that’s scuttling around on the 2nd floor conducting my business!

Nick for not only giving me the opportunity to expand my clinic, but being generous enough to allow me to take that open space (when my original plan of linking 2 rooms together fell through). It also makes life easier for us when talking golf and all things (yes, I had to find a way to include Tiger in this post 🤣)

Maria for her support from the very conception of this clinic dream. She has been a pillar of support, especially when doubt crept into my mind. Thank you dear!! ❤️

After 3+ years, it’s time to say goodbye to this place. Mixed emotions, as this was where I took the risk and started this clinic (just before the “you know what” started). Lots of ups and downs during that time, but I certainly gained a lot of life lessons & experiences.

I’ll be taking a bit of a break while the new place gets done up. I’m very excited for the next chapter of my osteopathic journey!!

I guess I got a little too busy enjoying yesterday to post this … 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yesterday represented 3 years since I opened up my clinic. I have enjoyed almost all the challenges that have come with starting up my own practice (that first year and all those closures … 🙄).

A big thank you to all the patients who have/continue to entrust me, along with my friends & family who have my back. ❤️

Today is the last day of my anniversary giveaway (3rd anniversary tomorrow). I would like to thank everyone who voted for .onosteopathy!! Officially now the Readers Choice Award winner for best osteopath clinic in Markham for a 3rd straight year!!

Now I have a small (very small) window into what guys like & (remember, he was a 3x consecutive winner of the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship) experienced being a 3x consecutive champ!!🤣

Up early this morning to cleanup after yesterday’s snowfall

Helpful advice when shovelling:

- take breaks, especially if the snow is heavy

- bend your knees & use your legs to do the heavy lifting: don’t use your lower back to lift

- avoid repetitive twisting when tossing the snow (protect your back): toss straight out in front of you

- shovelling is a workout so make sure to stretch yourself out afterwards
