Mothers are not meant to be perfect;
They are meant to be your confidant, your safe space, and also the place that keeps you on the right path.
She is a place you know you are heard, never judged and unconditionally loved.
Missing you mom, today and every day.
I miss venting to you about the injustices, the sadness and sometimes pain, but most of all I miss sharing the joys, the love and the laughter; especially those that are related to my children.
I know your energy still surrounds me and I recognize those signs you send.

Let’s talk about root causes.
I came across this tree and immediately felt connected to its energy and wisdom.
It made me wonder why in this society we can’t see beauty in our aging process and how fervently this society tries to eliminate any healthy signs of aging.
Let’s look at our skin; our skin has layers.
To simplify it, we have the epidermis and the dermis.
Think about the dermis as the living part of our skin and the epidermis the top layer that turns over.
We want to keep our epidermis moist and supple and we want to get to feed our dermis level from inside and out.
It is definitely the trend now to use Botox as a preventative and I know I’ll get push back on this, but I don’t believe this to be true. I don’t think it’s preventative :)
I believe this does a disservice long term. Sure, the immediate results are great, but essentially you are causing atrophy to the muscles.
Staying firm requires strong muscles not weak ones.
So what’s the root cause to aging?
Stress, inflammation, over exposure to sun, and simply not caring for your skin.
Stay away from chemicals that go into your bloodstream and are not only carcinogenic but also cause inflammatory responses in the dermis.
Stay on top of your health with your naturopath and do the internal work.
Give your skin nourishment and love with good products, exercise and move that lymph.
The same way you reap what you sew with everything in life is the same way your skin will respond to being treated well.
It is normal to have some lines as we age but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to help you age well.
Botox is a quick fix but the younger you are when you start using it the more you will have to use it and the more atrophy you create.
This doesn’t come with judgment because I get the pressure. I’m just sharing my thoughts as I get these questions a lot.
Stay connected to the root of everything and you will get results:)

Thank you to everyone who supported the creation of my Santina oil and of which all proceeds were donated to supporting the children in Gaza.
We raised $1500 and I am so grateful to have done this in honour of my mother whose heart was both generous and kind.
May the Divine help end the suffering 🤲🏼
