Blocking sensation during sex? Feels like a wall? Like the “doors” are closed? Burning? Tearing?
You may have a condition called dyspareunia, which is essentially described as pain during sex.
Dyspareunia is an umbrella term that can be quite confusing and frustrating for many people. “I KNOW I have pain with sex” 🙄.
But did you know that a pelvic floor physiotherapist can determine so much more about the “why” and the “how” it is happening? And most importantly, we are able to guide you “how to fix it”.
When we see you, we may ask questions like:
✨ Does the pain happen on insertion or with deeper thrusting?
✨ Is your pain on the outside or deeper?
✨ Do you also have pain with tampon use?
✨ Is it position dependent?
✨ Do you have to stop because of the pain?
Have you ever mentioned pain with sex to a healthcare provider? Did they ask detailed questions to get to the root of the issue? Or did they suggest lube, foreplay, and a bit of wine to warm you up?
Bottom line is that you do not need to live in pain. Your pain is real. And you deserve better.
How do we assess pelvic girdle pain?
Take a sneak peak into some of the specific tests we use to determine where your pain is coming from and the best treatment for it.
We could not do what we do on a daily basis without them.

To the newest members of the team,
Kaylyn and Thanika, so glad to have you with us. Photos will need to come soon!
