In 2018 I could no longer work because my illness progressed to the point I was unable to do my job. I was utterly hopeless and thought this was the end of my life. I thought I would only continue to suffer until I died. I thought a bacterial issue would likely be my demise. I used alcohol to cope with my pain.

I moved to Medicine Hat and got into a new home and had the time to work on myself. I studied energy healing and applied a lot of the knowledge I had been learning. In 2020 I was told not only was I in remission but I no longer had any evidence of disease. 6 years later it still feels surreal.

Waking up without pain still brings happy tears to my eyes. Being able to walk anywhere I want with an 85lb pitbull by my side is something I once only dreamed about. I'm so grateful for the little things. Being able to pick up my grandbabies, take walks with them & play with them without pain.

I am 51 years old now and I feel better than I did at 21 years old. I was diagnosed with SLE Lupus at 22 years old. I was sick the majority of my life. I developed arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, insomnia, and suffered with chronic infections. Issues I was told were incurable and would only get worse. I was on so many medications.
Wow has my life changed!

I've created a wellness brand and make my own products.
I teach wellness classes and share my knowledge.
I wrote a children's book.
Ive done some public speaking- sharing my story of healing not only my illness but surviving sexual assault & violence.
I became a member of the firekeepers women's society- a group of incredible women I'm grateful to know.
I started my own women's gathering giving women a voice and platform to share their stories of resilience.
I hit the gym and started lifting weights.
I became a proud vegan
I became a kokum - truly grateful to be around to injoy this chapter of life.

I am so proud of myself and how far I've come. I'm not the same person I once was. But I honour the younger me who was brave enough to keep fighting.

Healing absolutely is possible- I'm proof! No one can take your dreams from you! Keep dreaming! ✌🏽🩷🌟

Potato pancakes don't need eggs!

Cheap & easy to make. Only 1 potato here too!

Shredded potato, strain out the juices, add some flour, nut milk, salt & pepper. Add any other spices you'd like, onion or veggies too. Fry til golden brown and crispy. Yum yum.
