Jasmin Smith is one of our newer pharmacists and started with us in August. She is new to Prairie Co-op, but has 13 years of pharmacist experience. She was born and raised in Melville and returned to her roots after graduating from University in 2012. Her husband Ryan Smith works as a CPA at Prairie Strong Accounting and she has two kids, Myles & Hannah. Myles enjoys playing sports (esp. hockey), while Hannah likes Play-Doh and building things. Jasmin enjoys spending time with her kids and being at the lake in summer. She also loves hiking and travelling with her little family.

Her favorite pharmacy service involves medication accessibility - making it as simple as possible for patients to adhere to their medications. Whether that’s by free delivery, blister packaging, simplifying complex regimens, or by helping patients apply to provincial support programs that may be available to reduce drug cost for them.

Jasmin prefers rural pharmacy and is proud of the connections she has made in her community, and serving as a constant and reliable healthcare professional in Melville.

Chantel Bonick is our new Pharmacy Manager, but is not new to pharmacy or Melville. Chantel has been a pharmacist for 18 years, with the last 14 years in Melville.
Chantel grew up in Melville, and was excited to move back knowing it was a great community to be a part of, especially to raise kids and have a family in. Chantel lives in Melville with her partner Terry and two kids, Maverick and Scarlett. When she's not working in the pharmacy, she splits her time following her kids to their sporting and dance events, and spends plenty of time at the lake. She is also a Blue Jays fan so if you can't find her at the lake or the hockey rink, you may find her at a ball game!

Chantel's favourite pharmacy service to offer is vaccines of every kind - she knows the value in preventative health care and will take the time to make sure you all do, too.

It was World Pharmacists' Day on Friday, and the Prairie Co-op Pharmacy has three of the best! Erika and Chantel are here with a small token of our appreciation. Jasmine was not in on Friday, but she got flowers, too!
