Today is World Menopause Day.

And while menopause affects so much more than our skin, skin changes are often one of those things nobody really prepares us for.

You may suddenly notice more dryness, sensitivity or changes in texture. Products you’ve used happily for years may start irritating you. Your skin may simply stop behaving the way it always has.

There’s a reason for that.

During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal changes can affect collagen, hydration, oil production and the skin barrier.

I hear some version of this from women all the time:

“My skin has completely changed and I don’t know what to use anymore.”

You don’t necessarily need MORE skincare.

You may need different skincare — and sometimes a simpler routine is exactly what your skin needs.

World Menopause Day is about education and conversation around something every woman deserves to understand better.

It’s National Aesthetician Day. 💆🏻‍♀️🧴🧖🏻‍♀️

I’ve been doing this long enough to have watched a LOT of skincare trends come and go.

What hasn’t changed is how much I enjoy working with people and helping them understand their skin.

One of the biggest things experience has taught me is that more isn’t always better.

You don’t necessarily need 12 products.
You don’t need every new ingredient TikTok tells you to buy.
And you definitely don’t need to hate your face before you’re allowed to take care of it.

My job has changed a lot over the years, and so have I. I’m still learning, still changing things, still questioning things and still genuinely interested in skin.

I think that’s probably why I’m still here. 🩶

Some days your skin needs more. Some days it needs less. Every step has a purpose.

Happy 1st anniversary to Peauz!!
I launched in March 2025 and it has been a wild ride! I want to thank everyone that has supported my crazy ideas, and for all of you that are using and loving this skin care brand💕 We are still in the early stages so I expect some tweaking and more things to be developing in the future.
