Dear Devoted Yoga Student,

Are you yearning to go deeper into your practice with a like-hearted community? 🧘📿

Do you love the intimate bond of gathering in a circle for rich and meaningful conversations? 🪷

Do 60-minute classes sometimes feel rushed? 🏃‍♀️💨

Would you like to linger longer in Savasana and stay to meditate in the prayerful atmosphere created by that hour of breathing and moving together as a group? 🙏

Are you a seeker who loves to evolve and live a better life through Yoga?

If you said YES, this 3-hour practice is for you!

Our time together will be divided into three parts:

Part 1: Group centering in a circle, lecture on the theme of the class, contemplation, and discussion.

Part 2: Asana practice. A blend of Alignment-based Hatha, Yin and Kundalini yoga, based on the class theme. Accessible posture variations and alternatives will be offered.

Part 3: Relaxation, Breathwork, Meditation and Integration.

Wisdom Wednesday 🤔💭

“A huge amount of imposter syndrome comes with being a non-typically-thin-toned yoga teacher.

Of course, i generally don’t think like this, but every now and again I’ll be talking to a certian type of person and feel self conscious when I tell them | teach yoga, as if i can teel them scanning me in surprise.

If I feel like this in my bod standard mid size body, i cannot even imagine how it must feel for yoga teachers, or even students in bigger bodies. The presumptions made about ability, strength.

We attach thin bodies to morality.
The more in control you have your body, the more you must work for it
and therefore be rewarded.

We don’t take into account the hundreds of different factors that go into body composition or weight (for me, my health condition, not that i or anyone else needs to justify it.)

Ask yourself do you have these preconcieved ideas about yoga and size? Do you expect yoga teachers and students to look a certain way, even subconsciously?

What can we do to try to get rid of these backwards narratives about who belongs in yoga?”

Acceptance takes time and work.

Don’t feel badly if you’re not there YET.

It’s not an overnight process, unfortunately. (How wonderful and easy things would be if it were, right?)

Trust in yourself. Trust in the work that you’re doing (or starting to do)…and then the rest will follow, according to your OWN timeline.

Trust yourself.
Trust the process.
Trust the universe. 🤍
