Happy to be part of bringing innovative KOELIS technology to patients of Ontario.

"A transperineal approach with the MRI-US System will also greatly reduce the risk of post-procedure bleeding and infection among patients. While incidences of infection are already low, anything we can do to lower those rates further and keep our patients safer is always our top priority.” says Dr. Colm Boylan, Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at St. Joseph's Healthcare and Foundation.

St. Joe’s is the first in the Ontario West health region to be home to a new MRI-US Biopsy System to provide faster, safer and more accurate prostate cancer diagnoses to local patients. MRI-US Biopsy brings together an MRI's high-resolution accuracy with an ultrasound's localization capabilities to create matched 3-D images of the prostate. It’s considered the new standard of care in prostate cancer surveillance and diagnosis. https://www.oha.com/news/region%E2%80%99s-first-mri-fusion-biopsy-platform-arrives-at-st-joe%E2%80%99s

[English version follows]

-------------------
la Rue is a non-profit that has been at the service of vulnerable youth since 1988. Their founder, Emmett Johns, known as Pops, started off with a $10,000 loan from the Caisse Pop, which he used to buy a mobile home, which he converted into a mobile homeless shelter and hit the street to help those in need. He was nominated as the Montrealer closest to sainthood, and we couldn’t agree more!

As their website states very accurately - “Pops and the Van very quickly became fixtures of Montreal’s nightscape, known to street kids as a safe place to get a bite to eat and warm up”. To date, the organization has helped countless youth find a safe place to take break from their hardship and gain access to essential services for their long-term wellbeing.

Now in 2022, Dans la Rue have a new van that runs 100% on renewable energy and have a long list of life-changing programs. As a regular donor to this organization and upon hearing the news and opportunity to help Montreal youth once again, our CEO, Danny Minogue, stepped up and decided to donate to the cause.

At Minogue Medical, we are proud to be part of a team that believes in the importance of such initiatives.

Its been a pleasure to partner with the surgical teams at Sinai Health to help provide for their patients.

Our new da Vinci Xi surgical robot – affectionately nick-named LEO – is helping surgical patients with complicated health conditions.

Since arriving at Mount Sinai Hospital’s new state-of-the-art ORs and Surgical Services Floor, LEO has assisted in 37 complex laparoscopic operations, and will soon take part in many more as our robotics program expands.

Beside LEO is Joanna Ascenzi of Orthopedic Surgery, winner of our Name the Robot contest. Over 200 staff took part in the contest, with the name LEO selected as a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci and his study of the human body.

Part of the Hospital’s transformative Renew Sinai redevelopment project, LEO is the most technologically advanced surgical robot in Toronto. Read more:
