🍂🤎 Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours! 🤎🍂

This year we have so many blessings to be thankful for. Our family, our friends, the wonderful community we call home, the opportunities that come our way, and the beautiful world we are so fortunate to live in. ❤️

Thanksgiving has always been a celebration of the harvest, a time to give thanks for the abundance the earth has provided and the hard work that goes into bringing food to our tables.

Although times have changed and many of us have become a little more disconnected from the land, the meaning behind Thanksgiving is just as important today.

This Thanksgiving, we encourage you to take a little time to reconnect with the world around you. Step outside, breathe in the crisp autumn air, admire the changing leaves, or share a walk with someone you love. Even if you live in the heart of the city, nature is never too far away to appreciate. 🍁

Be thankful not only for the people who fill your life with love, but also for the earth beneath your feet, the changing seasons, and all the little gifts nature gives us each day.

These small ceramic workshops are a chance to create hand built personalized keepsake, one to hang year after year and, hopefully, pass down someday!

You’re never too old to slow down, breathe deeply, and take care of yourself.

As we get older, stress doesn’t simply disappear. Our bodies often become less forgiving of constant rushing, poor sleep, tension, and never ending responsibilities. Taking intentional time to rest becomes even more important.

A sauna gives you a chance to step away from the noise, warm your body, relax tired muscles, breathe, and simply be still for a while.

Self care isn’t something you age out of. If anything, the older we get, the more valuable those quiet moments become.

The sound of waves, fresh salt air, open horizons and the steady rhythm of the tide can help slow racing thoughts, ease stress and bring your attention back to the present moment.

Time by the water has also been linked with better mood, lower stress and a greater sense of calm and wellbeing.

Sauna has been used for centuries for one simple reason, it feels good. 🔥

The deep heat helps your body relax, encourages circulation, eases tight muscles, and gives your nervous system a chance to slow down.

Pair that with fresh Fundy air, the sound of the ocean, and a quiet place to sit afterward, and it becomes more than just getting warm.

That’s the kind of sauna experience we want to bring back to Chance Harbour. 🌊🌿

There is something ancient and almost sacred about standing beside a waterfall. 💧

The constant movement of the water, the cool mist in the air, the rhythm of the sound, and the feeling of the earth beneath you can create a space where your nervous system finally begins to soften.

For many people, time near waterfalls and other natural water can help encourage:

✨ Deep relaxation
✨ Stress reduction
✨ Mindfulness and grounding
✨ Mental clarity
✨ Emotional release
✨ A feeling of renewal and connection
✨ A quieting of the mind

There is something powerful about watching water continuously move, never holding on, never staying still. It can be a beautiful reminder to release what we are carrying and allow ourselves to simply exist in the present moment.

Whether you see it as the calming effect of nature, the energy of moving water, or simply the peace that comes from being somewhere wild and beautiful, waterfalls have a way of making us feel different when we leave than when we arrived.

Our waterfall is one of the most special places on the property and we have TWO!! Where forest, fresh water and the ocean all meet.

🌿 Our very first event at Nature Spa Chance Harbour! 🌿

We aren’t officially open yet, but today we got a little glimpse of what we hope this space will become. 🤍

Today we collaborated with Krystal from The Nurture Nest Consulting Inc., a local woman entrepreneur, to host a small and intimate infant massage teaching class for moms and their babies. 👶🏼🌿

Moms and their babies, including my baby and myself, were able to slow down and enjoy some special one on one bonding time while Krystal taught us gentle infant massage techniques that can help calm and relax baby and support their overall comfort.

Krystal brings 12 years of experience as an LPN, including 6 years working in pediatrics, and it was wonderful having her knowledge and experience guiding us through the class.

The Nurture Nest is working toward offering consulting services for families with infants, offers overnight services, and creates beautiful breast milk keepsake jewelry, (she even has a jewelry giveaway happening right now, check out her page!) 🤍 She is also working towards her lactation consultant certification. Krystal services the Charlotte County and Great Saint John area.

This is exactly what we want Nature Spa Chance Harbour to be about; wellness, connection, learning and community. We want to collaborate with local entrepreneurs and create opportunities for people to share their knowledge and skills in a peaceful space surrounded by nature.

There is still lots of work happening behind the scenes before the spa officially opens, but having moms and their little ones here today for our first event felt pretty special. 🌊
