During our this webinar, we will explore hiring a support worker who may be blind of partially sighted. As an employer, you will learn strategies and accommodations to create a welcoming and accessible workplace.

Presented by CNIB, and in partner with Vela and Family Support Institute BC, participants will learn practical ways to communicate and work effectively with people who have sight loss, including sighted guide techniques, workplace accommodations and strategies for creating an accessible work environment. This session will also provide an opportunity to increase awareness, challenge common misconceptions and build confidence when working with people with vision loss.

This webinar is ideal for families and self-advocates who hire their own support staff.
