Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and a vital component of the skin!

It is present in numerous tissues, including muscles, bones, tendons, blood vessels, and the digestive system. It plays a crucial role in many bodily functions, including wound healing.

The skin is soft, smooth, and firm when collagen levels are high. Collagen helps the skin cells renew and repair themselves. Both the levels and quality of collagen affect the skin.

As a person ages, their body produces less of certain types of collagen, and the quality of collagen in the body reduces.

This can lead to

-a loss of elasticity in the skin and other connective tissues
-lines, wrinkles, and looseness in the skin

As people get older, changes in collagen structure occur that weaken the bond between the different layers of the skin. This is one reason why people develop wrinkles and other features associated with aging skin.

My husband, our daughter and myself went to New Zealand for 14 days, and it was so magical!

We travelled there for a wedding; I was lucky enough to stand beside one of my best friends as she married the love of her life, which was beautiful.

And then, we venture all over the country from Queenstown, Mount Maunganui and Auckland and truly got to experience the culture.

Our favourite part was of course, the wedding and then simply being beside the ocean every day. We feel so lucky!

One of our most frequently asked questions when it comes to lip fillers!

In short, the answer is yes.

But don’t let this deter you!

Lip filler bruising is one of the most common side effects caused by the blood vessels being punctured by the needle. This happens after any injectable treatment, but the lips are particularly susceptible to bruising as they are more vascular.

This beauty came in for the works!

We used Botox for frontalis, glabellar and lateral rye tides which in English means her forehead, frown lines and crow's feet.

Neuromodulator results typically begin to appear within a few days post-injection. However, full results may not be visible for about 1-2 weeks, so we always recommend booking a follow-up at the two-week point to ensure you’re thrilled with your results!
