Lord Jesus, we come before You in humility and sadness as we watch the events unfolding in Ukraine. We pray for the Ukrainian people—that You would keep them safe, provide what they need, and show them that they can trust You in all situations. Father, give them courage and endurance. Show them mercy and help them in ways that they can see Your mighty hand. Strengthen the church and help believers be Your hands and feet during this time of distress.
We also pray for the people of Russia as they see their children go to war and sustain the consequences of their leaders’ actions. May they seek You and find You as the answer to their needs as well.
Lord God, we express our confidence in You. We do not know what tomorrow may bring, and we know that with war comes tears, heartache, and significant loss. But we also know that You are God, and if we will look to You, You will guide us. Help us prepare for the coming crisis and show us how to honor You so that more people may trust in the salvation that only comes through You. We entrust the future to You.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
