I try to remember that no one can take away my voice and no one is allowed to tell me I am not enough. So I’m going to reaffirm this to you.
You are enough. You are loved. You are alive.

Ok, so, it’s been too long since I’ve done Reflexology on another person and I dearly miss it.
There will be some new protocol that is necessary during these new times, but overall, you will still receive the relaxed and balanced feeling that reflexology can bring you. I am preparing Covid19 intake forms and PPE for appointments in the near future.

As of Saturday, July 4th, I’m so happy to be back at my favourite spot in Westboro, Back in Balance. Feel free to contact them to set up an appointment @ (613)288-2225.

As someone who meditates daily, I can truly see the benefits of a calmer mind. Especially in times like these, it can help reduce stress, anxiety and quiet those negative thoughts. By inhaling and exhaling slowly and repeating a mantra, listening to calming music or in the still of a quiet room, meditation with deep breathing has been proven to trigger a parasympathetic nerve response that produces hormones to relax the body and mind leading to lower heart rate and blood pressure, among other benefits to the body.
Deepak Chopra has an app that includes guided meditations with mantras. He and Oprah did a 21 day meditation app earlier in May that had beautiful introductions with guided meditations.

Honestly, I feel like what’s been going on in the world is a huge transition and a chance to evolve, and choose love and health.
There is fear, pain, hatred and isolation right now. We as humans are in an incubation period and it can be hard to experience the difficult phases of life. It can be easier to choose the negative emotions that tend to want to creep up inside us.

I am working on sprouting from this cocoon with beautiful, functioning wings that takes me to a higher perspective. Change can be painful, but because of the darkness can we truly appreciate the light and love.

I take this time now to try to be better, say better, manifest positivity and love in this world and in myself.

What a beautiful reminder to be kind to ourselves. With the state of the world, it’s so easy to be consumed by the News, social media and some people we know saturating our minds with fear-based thoughts. I’m not saying that fear is not valid-it definitely is-but when we absorb too much negative energy it truly affects us mentally and physically.
It’s wise to be cautious during a pandemic. It’s also wise to balance what we take in-whether it’s negative thoughts, too much news stories, or too much junk food. We are ALL in a mentally draining time, whether we’re essential workers braving the outside to help so many others, or working from home, or laid off due to the pandemic. We’re all adjusting and we’re all adapting. Having this virus leering over us is hard enough.
So let’s be kind to ourselves. Let’s be gentle with our thoughts and with ourselves. Our bodies and our immune systems will thank us. If our mind is full of negative thoughts, our whole being pays the price.
Looking into positive outlets for stress if time allows can be beneficial. Painting, bubble baths, yoga, workout videos, video chats and calls to loved ones, looking through old photo albums, and creating gratitude lists and as well mirror work with positive affirmations are helping me right now.
Please be kind to yourself-body, mind and spirit, and know we are allowed to cry healing tears and we’re allowed to get by one day at a time. We got this.

Hey everyone! So, I know it’s a stressful time right now with the self-isolation during covid19. I wish I could see my clients and help alleviate the anxiety, but I thought I’d give you a little reflexology tip that you can do on yourself.
It’s easy and may help reduce some tension we’re all feeling in this scary times.
The solar plexus is a ganglia of nerves situated around the diaphragm that produces the fight or flight reflex in us. It’s also a great pressure point for calming the mind. Just find the crease on your hand (or foot) that is underneath the metacarpal (finger) bones and find the middle of that line. Using your opposite thumb, press in and hold for several seconds at a time. You can also bend and release your first joint of the thumb while on that reflex to work it out even more. Hey Everyone! I just wanted to share with you what I’ve been hearing a lot lately, and to be honest, it’s my new favourite thing to say to people.
“Be Safe”
Working in an office and also doing my beautiful reflexology, I get to speak to a lot of people. I’m so fortunate that lately with everything going on in the world, the one message that I get the most often over the phone is “stay safe”

So, out of all the mayhem and fear and precautions, I really do find that reassurance and persistence in hand washing with social distancing is so vital for our safety.
We as Canadians and all over the world need to pull together in unison to overcome this pandemic. We don’t know how long it’s going to take, we don’t know how long we’ll be in a state of emergency, and we can easily be engulfed with an overload of information and stats.

So, I think positive vibes and a bit of self-care is important right now. I’m just spreading the message I’ve gotten over the last few days with all of you. We can get through this and work together to prevent this virus affecting others. Please be safe everyone.

‘An apple a day’ is literally something I live by. So, it’s no wonder this top spoke to me. What speaks to you? When you live your life with authenticity and try not to worry so much about what others say or think, it gets easier to be genuine you. So, if someone really connects with you, tell them. If something as simple as a mug with your spirit animal on it vibes with you, acknowledge that. It feels so good to have the right people in your corner. I need this reminder. Do you?

I love to be the best I can be to other people, but I often forget to be nice to myself. To forgive my weaknesses and to just accept that I’m allowed to make mistakes without beating myself up. Trying not to believe those negative thoughts that creep up about ourselves when something goes wrong. We are not our mistakes! We our our lessons learned!
We are the strength we thought we couldn’t find in the hardest times. We are the smiles we get when we reach our goals. We are beautifully imperfect and it’s never a bad thing.

You-yes, YOU deserve what you work for! YOU have earned those battle wounds and come out victorious.
Affirming to yourself and the universe what you truly deserve is a key way to accomplishing those blessings. Look in the mirror, or sit or lay down and tell yourself you are beautiful, you are successful, you are healing others with your gifts, you are healthy and in the prime of your life.

I truly believe in the law of attraction and it’s an important part of my evening regime before bed or during my srivasana in yoga. Repeating positive affirmations not only lifts your mood, but will assist in the universe providing what you request from it. Beautiful, isn’t it?

Balance is one of those life goals I always seem to be working on. So, being honest about my life is a great start. I know I’m not alone when I say that it’s like a constant reminder that can go off in the back of your head: Don’t forget balance!

So, it’s on my mind a lot. Working towards a life where we don’t struggle with trying to even out all of life’s parts is a definite aim.
By setting aside time to work on all the essentials is a good start. Knowing yourself and what your body, mind and soul need to be at it’s optimal health is key! I know I work best when I have self care time, when I exercise regularly, when I’m not over-indulging in too much sugar and fatty foods, and when I get enough sleep. So, it’s not as simple as not eating that one chocolate bar, or by sleeping in until noon, it’s tweaking life to figure out how best to supply yourself all the tools to make a happy, healthy wellbeing. It takes practice. I’m still learning as I go. But, the important part of learning is to keep getting up if you fall short. For a balanced, beautiful life is a goal we all wish to attain.
