October 18-24 is Invisible Disabilities Week in Canada. 💡
Invisible disabilities are physical, mental, or neurological conditions that affect a person's daily life but may not be visible to others. Examples include chronic pain, brain injuries, hearing impairments, and mental health conditions.
People living with invisible disabilities may face misunderstandings, judgement, or assumptions based on what others can see. These experiences remind us of the importance of challenging stereotypes, listening without judgement, and recognizing that disability doesn't always have visible signs.
This , we encourage everyone to learn more, build understanding, and help foster communities where people feel valued, supported, and included.
Not all disabilities are visible, but every person deserves to be understood, respected, and included. 💚
