paramedical permanent makeup services
In 2006 I had my lips shaded and was so impressed with the result that I signed up for the beginner & advanced micropigmentation training in Vancouver, B.C. as well as tattoo removal. My lips are paramedical, that is, damaged by radiation and post surgical scarring, a lower lip that is visibly fuller on one side than the other and to add insult to injury age has moved my upper lip down my throat. So it was not a matter of applying pigment to punch up the natural colour, define the lips and make them a little bigger. They were much more of a challenge. So, I would draw the guideline, choose my colour and then instruct the student in technique. Kept them shaded for about a decade until the skin no longer took the inks. Scar tissue is like that, will either grab the pigment or reject it, no rhyme nor reason.
In December 2008 I moved back to Ottawa, Ontario and after working off and on for a few years, opened a studio, bright and spacious with about 1200 sq ft, in Westboro. For health reasons, I had to close the shop in June 2018. Now, I provide some paramedical services at the PurEnvi Eco Spa, 911 Richmond Road (near Woodroffe) on a less than part-time basis: Monday & Tuesday, 10am - 8 pm & Saturday 9 am- 12:30pm.
