Our mission is to provide Applied Behavior Analysis and mental health services to individuals using a holistic approach in an inclusive and supportive environment. Values
Our values are rooted in integrity, equity, inclusion, growth, and collaboration. History
Twin sisters Jennifer and Deborah Wyatt founded Thinking in Pictures Educational Services (TIPES) in Ottawa in 2007. Inspired by the advocacy work of their grandfather, John Alexander Wyatt, the twins conceptualized TIPES as a means of supporting the community and creating opportunities for those living with autism and other learning needs. Since its inception, TIPES has grown from a staff of two to a staff of over 50 professionals committed to creating and implementing individualized programming for its learners. TIPES has now serviced over 1000 learners from preschool age to adulthood and has expanded to service Ottawa and the surrounding area.

Every day our team works with neurodiverse children, a vulnerable population that deserves care and compassion. On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we recognized all of the Indigenous children who never received the care they deserved. With reconciliation in mind, we will continue to support and empower the children of our community to be proud of who they are in the face of adversity. Every child matters.

TIPES HISTORY

As Jennifer and Deborah Wyatt (Founders) prepared to make the leap from school to the working world they both knew they had to achieve one thing to find happiness; service others. Their grandfather, John Alexander Wyatt was a strong advocate and role model for both Jennifer and Deborah growing up. He instilled in both girls the importance of inclusion regardless of differences and to always support the less fortunate. Both Jennifer and Deborah have strong interests in health, mental health and developmental exceptionalities. With the influence of their grandfather and their interests, TIPES was born.

Thinking In Pictures Education Services, better known as TIPES was founded in 2007. TIPES has grown from the original dynamic duo of Jennifer and Deborah Wyatt to a staff of 30 plus individuals who all have the students of TIPES best interests at heart. As a team, TIPES offers over a dozen programs in efforts to reach each individual in the community who requires assistance. While originating with offering services to children and youth, TIPES added adult services in 2014. It also grew from offering services in Ottawa to offering services in Ottawa, Kingston, Renfrew County, Cornwall, Leeds and Grenville county.

Since its inception TIPES has serviced over 250 families in Ontario.
