My heart is filled with gratitude for the many women who have brought so much colour, hope, love, encouragement and inspiration to my life. One such woman reached out several months ago to invite me to join a Women’s Circle. Each month, 10 of us gather to explore what the Divine Feminine means to us individually and collectively. Today, we discussed and experimented with intuition. Gathering at the beach in Long Point elevated the experience, with sunbeams, birds and sand between our toes.

Thirty years ago, I imagined what retirement might look like. It never occurred to me that I’d meet women along the way who would open my mind and heart to new ideas, wrapped around ancient wisdom, at this stage of my life.

It’s never too late to try new things.

Being an aspiring photographer changes one's perspective. I see beauty where I may have overlooked it before I started thinking about how I could frame the scene. I'm sharing a few shots from recent days that make me smile. I hope they inspire you to get out and take in the beauty all around you, if you're able.

And if walking or even getting into a car or on a bike is not an option, neuroscience teaches us that nature photography activates the prefrontal cortex and reduces stress.

I much prefer seeing the world through a real lens than seeing AI-generated or marketing images intended to make me see what's wrong with me or the world.

Which photo is your favourite and why?

No apologies. No explanations. However you're grieving is just right for you.

Here’s my recipe for a fabulous Friendsgiving:

Friends who are like family.

Perfect fall colors and weather from Mother Nature, another friend to cherish and care for with love and respect.

Fun activities, like a day at the , a soak in the hot tub, hand care by Mary Kay and board games, like intense sessions of Sequence.

Special treats, like corn dogs and Poutine, comfort food like homemade chili and roasted red pepper soup, and an upscale Thanksgiving dinner made by your friend who shows her love by cooking for you.

To those who shared this time together, those who couldn’t join us because you were with other family, and you - thank you for being a friend!

Last night, I had the joy of attending my first Homecoming event as an alumna celebrating a reunion year. Thanks so much to our gracious hostess, Terra Ahrens! Everything about the evening was wonderful - the venue (Century Centre at 100 Kellogg Lane), the signature cocktail (gold dusted Prosecco), the delicious buffet, and especially the opportunity to attend a swanky event with my two favourite King’s alumni. Celebrate the moments, peeps!
