Wellness Wednesday – Finding Light in the Darker Days

As temperatures drop and evenings grow darker, we begin settling into a slower season. While autumn brings cozy comforts, shorter days and less sunlight can sometimes affect our energy, motivation, and mood.

As we head into the darker months, it's important to care for our mental and emotional well-being.

When someone you care about is diagnosed with cancer, the impact is often felt by the entire family. As a friend, you may want to help but not know what to say or what they need. Sometimes the most meaningful support comes from simply showing up.

Check in. Listen without trying to fix things. Drop off a meal. Offer a ride. Help with errands or everyday tasks. Remember important appointments. And continue reaching out — not only in the days following the diagnosis, but throughout the journey.

You don’t need to have the perfect words. Sometimes, “I’m here, and you don’t have to do this alone” is enough. 💚
