OK, here's your friendly Friday reminder that thinking about booking an appointment and actually booking one or two very different things 😂

If your back has been complaining, your shoulders are higher than them their hills, or you've been meaning to come back for a little maintenance, I'd love to see you!
Never been to Moonstone before? We start with a foundation treatment.
This is an extended Bowen session where we get to know your body, explore areas of facial restriction and begin developing a treatment plan tailored to what you're dealing with!
Already been on my table? I'll figure out where to pick things up, and I have appointments available coming up. I'd love to help you find a time that works!
Send a message with dates and times that are usually best for you, and we'll go from there.

Simple as that 🫶🏼

Can we talk about how exhausting it is to be uncomfortable all the time? 🥴
Not necessarily doubled over in pain. Just uncomfortable. Your neck is stiff when you wake up, your back complains halfway through the workday, your shoulders are permanently auditioning to become earrings and somehow you've gotten so used to it that you barely mention it anymore.
Here's the thing, just because you've learned to live around something doesn't mean you have to stop looking for ways to feel better. Bowen therapy is gentle hands on bodywork that some people find helpful for managing tension, discomfort and movement difficulties. No aggressive stretching, no digging the life out of sore muscles, just a different approach worth exploring .
And if you're wondering, whether Bowen might make sense for your particular brand of bodily nonsense, my messages are always open 🪷

Before we all disappear into turkey, stuffing, family chaos and the inevitable “why did I eat that much?” situation… 😂

I want to take a minute to say something I don’t say nearly enough.

Thank you. 💜

To every person who trusts me enough to lie on my table and let me be part of their care—thank you.

To the people who like or comment on my posts, share something I’ve written, tell a friend about Moonstone, send someone my way, or simply quietly follow along and support what I’m building—thank you too.

Every single one of you plays a part in keeping Moonstone going.

When you’re a business owner, there really isn’t such a thing as “just” a like, “just” a share, or “just” telling somebody about me. Those things travel farther than you probably realize.

And the fact that people trust me with their bodies, their stories, their referrals, their friends and their families is something I will never take lightly.

I’m deeply grateful for every single person who supports Moonstone—whether I’ve seen you twenty times, once, haven’t met you yet, or you’re simply here supporting what I’ve built. 💜

I hope you have a safe, happy and very full Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by good food, family, friends and plenty to be grateful for.

Moonstone will be closed Monday for the holiday while I do exactly that—and probably eat an unreasonable amount of something. 😂

I’ll be back Tuesday, ready to get back to work.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. 💜

You’ve read the posts.

You’ve wondered about Bowen.

Maybe you’ve even clicked onto my page a few times to creep around. 👀😂

But you haven’t reached out.

So I’m genuinely curious:

What’s stopping you?

Maybe you don’t know whether Bowen makes sense for what you’re dealing with.

Maybe you’re worried it’s going to hurt.

Maybe you think your problem isn’t “bad enough.”

Maybe you’re wondering what it’ll cost.

Or maybe messaging a stranger and saying, “Hi, my hip is doing something weird” just feels awkward. 😂

Here’s the good news:

You don’t have to book anything to ask me a question.

Send me a message and tell me what’s holding you back—or tell me what’s been bothering you.

I’ll give you a straight answer.

If I think Bowen is worth considering, I’ll tell you why.

If I don’t think what I do is the right place to start, I’ll tell you that too.

No pressure. No commitment.

Just ask. 💜

How do I know Bowen is “working”?

Honestly?

I’m much more interested in what YOU notice than some arbitrary number.

Maybe you can turn your head farther.

Maybe you’re sleeping differently.

Maybe getting out of the car doesn’t require that little pause it used to.

Maybe you worked all day and suddenly realized your back wasn’t the first thing you thought about when you got home.

Sometimes the biggest change isn’t:

“OMG EVERYTHING IS FIXED!”

It’s:

“Wait a minute… I haven’t thought about that all day.”

THAT matters.

Because the goal isn’t for you to become really good at being a Bowen client. 😂

The goal is for whatever brought you through my door to interfere with your life less.

That’s the win I’m looking for. 💜

A little behind-the-scenes look at Moonstone management. 😂

For anyone new around here, this is Denver—my guide dog, coworker, quality-control department and treatment-room nap champion.

He’s also part of the Moonstone experience.

You’ll usually find him hanging out while I work, completely unimpressed by everything happening around him.

Meanwhile, I’m over here doing the actual work.

Apparently our division of labour is a little uneven. 😂

But Moonstone was never meant to feel clinical or intimidating.

I want you to walk through my door, exhale and feel comfortable being exactly where you are that day.

Even if where you are is:

“Megan, EVERYTHING hurts.”

Fair.

We’ll start there. 💜

One of my clients said something to me this week that made me laugh.

She told me she’s been recommending Moonstone to people, and apparently one thing REALLY catches their attention when she tells them about me:

I don’t want you here forever. 😂

Seriously.

My goal isn’t to get you onto my treatment table every week for the rest of your natural life.

I want you to come in.

I want to figure out how your body responds.

I want to see things start changing.

And as you’re doing better, I want to start putting MORE time between your appointments—not less.

Eventually?

I would absolutely love to tell you:

“You’re doing great. Go away.” 😂💜

Some people choose occasional maintenance. Some bodies need more ongoing support because of what they’re dealing with. And some people finish what we’re working on and I don’t see them again until months—or even years—later when something new starts complaining.

I’m good with ALL of those outcomes.

Because my definition of a successful client isn’t someone who needs me forever.

It’s someone who needs me less.

And when your body decides to throw another tantrum someday?

You know where to find me. 💜

Something I think gets missed when I talk about Bowen:

You don’t actually have to be in pain to come see me.

Sometimes you just feel… OFF.

You’re tense all the time.

You can’t seem to fully relax.

You’re sleeping, but don’t feel rested.

Your shoulders apparently live beside your ears now. 😂

Your whole body feels like it’s been bracing for something for approximately six business months.

That’s where the nervous-system side of what I do becomes really important.

Bowen is gentle work. We’re not trying to beat your body into submission.

Sometimes we’re simply giving a body that’s been stuck on GO an opportunity to experience something quieter.

So no—you don’t need to wait until something hurts enough to justify coming in.

Feeling wound tighter than a dollar-store watch absolutely counts

💜

One of my favourite things about this job is that no two people who get on my table are exactly the same.

Someone comes in because their back has been cranky.

Someone else hasn’t been sleeping well.

Someone’s stressed to the absolute max.

And occasionally somebody basically says, “I don’t even know what’s wrong. I just know I feel like crap.” 😂

Fair enough.

You don’t have to arrive with the perfect explanation.

You tell me what you’ve been noticing, I listen, and while I’m working I’m paying attention to what your body is telling me too.

That’s probably my favourite part of Bowen.

I’m not trying to force your body into behaving.

I’m giving it an opportunity to respond—and then I’m listening. 💜

Quick question…

What have you started considering “normal” simply because you’ve dealt with it for so long?

The shoulder you automatically baby.

The back that always hurts after a workday.

The neck that doesn’t turn quite as far as it used to.

The hip you have to sleep around.

That stiffness you just assume is part of getting older.

It’s funny how quickly we adapt.

We stop saying, “My back hurts when I do that,” and start saying, “Oh, I can’t do that anymore.”

Those are two very different things.

I’m not going to tell you Bowen can magically fix everything—because it can’t.

But if your body has slowly convinced you to rearrange your life around something that’s bothering you, it might be worth asking whether there’s something else you could try.

And yes, you’re absolutely allowed to message me with, “Okay Megan, here’s the weird thing my body does…” 😂

Those are some of my favourite conversations.
