A little recovery goes a long way. 🤍

On Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Motion Fitness team and their clients into Recovery Lab for a day dedicated to recovery, movement, and feeling good.

All under one roof, our team brought together a variety of treatment approaches:

• Cassandra | NeuroFascial Reset
• Angela | RAPID NeuroFascial Reset
• Paul | ART Massage
• Saralise | Acupuncture & Integrative Chinese Medicine

Some guests also took advantage of our Sport Recovery space, experiencing infrared sauna, compression therapy, and our CryoSpa ice bath.

Different treatments, different approaches, but one shared goal: helping active bodies move, recover, and perform at their best.

A big thank you to Motion Fitness for joining us and giving your team and clients the opportunity to experience what Recovery Lab is all about.

We loved having you in our space, and we’re excited to keep building connections between movement and recovery.

Train hard. Recover well.

RELIEVE.

Let’s clear something up: deep tissue massage doesn’t have to hurt to work.

Deep tissue massage uses slower, more focused techniques to address tension and discomfort in muscles and surrounding soft tissues.

While the pressure may be firmer than a relaxation massage, effective treatment should always consider your comfort and tolerance.

What can it help with?
• Persistent muscle tension
• Neck, shoulder and back discomfort
• Stiffness associated with repetitive activities
• General muscle soreness
• Temporary improvements in mobility and comfort

And here’s something worth remembering: more pressure doesn’t automatically mean better results.

Communication matters. Your therapist should be adjusting their approach based on how your body responds, not how much discomfort you can tolerate.

You don’t need to endure your treatment to benefit from it.

A little glimpse of what our mornings look like. 🌅

The quiet before the day begins, the sun coming up, and a space getting ready to welcome everyone who walks through our doors.

Some mornings, you just have to stop and appreciate the view. ❤️

BALANCE.

When muscles become painful, sensitive or difficult to move comfortably, sometimes a different approach can help.

Dry needling is a technique used by appropriately trained physiotherapists involving thin, sterile needles inserted into targeted muscle tissue.

Unlike acupuncture, which follows a different assessment and treatment framework, dry needling focuses on musculoskeletal concerns.

What can it help with?
• Muscle-related pain and tension
• Myofascial trigger points
• Certain movement restrictions
• Neck, shoulder and back discomfort
• Pain that may be limiting rehabilitation exercises

Dry needling isn’t necessary for everyone, and it isn’t a standalone solution to every concern.

It’s one of several tools a physiotherapist may incorporate into a personalized treatment plan alongside movement, exercise and hands-on care.

The goal isn’t simply to feel different after treatment. It’s to support better movement beyond it.

REALIGN.

Your body works as a connected system. Your treatment should consider that, too.

Manual Osteopathy takes a whole-body approach to assessing movement, mobility and areas of restriction.

Using gentle, hands-on techniques involving muscles, joints and connective tissues, practitioners work to improve comfort and support more natural movement.

What can it help with?
• Joint stiffness and restricted mobility
• Muscle tension
• Postural discomfort
• Certain types of back and neck pain
• Movement restrictions affecting everyday activities

Sometimes the area where you feel discomfort isn’t the only area worth examining.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, manual osteopathy considers how different parts of the body may be contributing to the way you move and feel.

Because better movement starts with understanding how everything works together.

Home isn’t always a place. Sometimes, it’s a feeling. 💚

A place where you’re meant to be. Exactly as you are.

Where you’re welcomed, appreciated, listened to, and genuinely cared for.

Where you can slow down, let go of the outside world, and take a little time for yourself.

Welcome home. Welcome to Recovery Lab. 💜

Who says a massage has to be either therapeutic or relaxing?

Recovery Massage brings together the best of both worlds: focused therapeutic techniques to address areas of tension, combined with the calming experience of a relaxation massage.

It’s intentional bodywork without feeling like every minute needs to be intense.

What can it help with?
• Everyday muscle tension
• Post-exercise soreness
• Stress-related tightness
• General aches and discomfort
• Relaxation and overall well-being

Whether you’ve been pushing yourself physically or simply carrying the weight of a busy week, sometimes your body needs a little of both.

A little therapeutic. A little relaxation. Entirely about what your body needs.

PRECISION.

Sometimes, the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference.

The Graston Technique is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) that uses specially designed stainless steel tools to assess and treat areas of muscle and connective tissue restriction.

These instruments allow practitioners to apply targeted pressure and work with tissues that may be contributing to discomfort or limited movement.

What can it help with?
• Muscle tightness and soft tissue restrictions
• Limited range of motion
• Certain tendon-related conditions
• Discomfort associated with repetitive movements
• Recovery from some musculoskeletal injuries

Graston isn’t about using more force. It’s about applying the right technique, in the right area, for the right reason.

Because effective treatment isn’t always about pressure. Sometimes, it’s about precision.
