EASTER SEALS SK PROGRAMS THAT PAPER EGG CAMPAIGN BENEFITS (PART 2 OF 3):

SUMMER FUN is a recreational day camping program, operated during July and August, for children and youth aged 6 to 22. The program fosters community inclusion, social skill development, and increases confidence and self esteem in program participants. The rewards of laughter, play, and learning are immeasurable! In 2020, Summer Fun was ran as a virtual program and, although we are hoping and planning for an “in person” experience in 2021, we are still prepared to maintain the program virtually.

EASTER SEALS SK PROGRAMS THAT PAPER EGG CAMPAIGN BENEFITS (PART 1 OF 3)

CAMP EASTER SEAL is the only completely barrier-free camp facility of its kind in Saskatchewan and offers campers a true camping experience. Campers enjoy horseback riding, arts and crafts, sports, campfires, boating, and swimming, often for the first time. Through corporate and public donations and the efforts of countless volunteers, we are able to subsidize our weekly summer camps, allowing campers to attend free of charge. The average cost to send an individual to Camp Easter Seal is $1,955.

In 2021, we are preparing to support campers in the safest way possible via an online, robust virtual camping experience called Camp Connected, that is open to all Saskatchewan residents experiencing disability. Visit saskabilities.ca/camp for more information or to register for one of this summer’s sessions today! Our campers depend on us to create opportunities for them to connect in meaningful ways with others to enhance their independence and to grow relationships that last a lifetime. We are looking forward to staying connected with everyone and we cannot do this without your generous support.

I'm glad everyone is getting paid quick efficiently from EI. I have been waiting for months for my disability. I have actual disabilities, 3 chronic illnesses, multiple metal illnesses and I have been waiting since November of last year for finacial help. It is SUPER FRUSTRATING that I am still waiting even after all my documentation and interview were done before Covid-19 hit yet I am still waiting for an answer, never mind the MUCH needed monwy to sustain myself. WHY, I JUST WANT TO CRY! Like what the heck? Do we not count?
