Reiki is a hand-on technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen, universal life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

We are all connected to this universal energy and are born with the instinct and wisdom to heal. Our ancestors healed using their own inner wisdom. Unfortunately, as humanity has evolved, this natural instinct and healing knowledge has been forgotten.

The word Reiki is Japanese word meaning universal life force that is pronounced Ray-Key. “Rei” means universal, omnipresent – present everywhere at the same time. To some, Rei means spiritual consciousness, the omnipresent wisdom from God.

“Ki” is the non-physical energy that gives life to all living beings. It is the essence of the soul. Reiki is “spiritually guided life force energy” that can be activated for the purpose of healing. Ki is also known as Chi by the Chinese, Prana by some Asian cultures, and the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost by most of the western world.

When one’s life force energy is low, the person is more susceptible to get sick or feel stress and emotional turmoil. When one’s life force energy is high, the person is happier and healthier.

Reiki I is learning to apply Reiki hands-on to get an understanding of what Reiki is and how to use it in your life. Reiki I helps people come back to their original state of being. Reiki helps you stay on your spiritual path in life.

New for Niagara Reiki!

Check out our blog...
Our first post written by our very own giving you the low down on Chakras.
Here is a snippet but make sure you head to our website for the full article.

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning spinning wheel. These are a system of seven energy centres located along the spine.
Each chakra corresponds to an area of the body, a set of behavioural characteristics and stages of spiritual growth.
Practicing yoga and focusing your energies during different postures can help you to align your chakras and get all the wheels spinning in the same direction and speed.
Understanding how to fine tune and control your chakras through yoga and meditation can help bring balance and peace to your mind, body and spirit.
