We stumbled upon this place in Burnie, Tasmania and spent the afternoon with this wonderful generous couple that has dedicated their lives to reintroduce native plants to the colonized communities of the Pacific and Africa. What an amazing accomplishment and I wish them well.

A side note, Burnie has a public shower that is very private in the local car park. What a great amenity that I wish more communities had.

Lynn had this to say on why they love acupuncture, “During this summer's devastating wildfires, I volunteered my acupuncture services at the local evacuation centre. Using my Acupuncturists Without Borders training, I placed ear seeds on evacuees and volunteers to help with their stress management. I love being an acupuncturist because I enjoy being of service to others and community. I was glad to be able to help in a situation that seemed so hopeless.”

Lynne Ozone, R. Ac. will be at the Emergency Support Services (ESS) new location giving free ear seeds for stress reduction again this weekend on Friday, September 1, from 2-4 pm. More dates will be posted later.

Fairfield Inn & Suites in Salmon Arm (790-16 Street NE) . The hours for the ESS services is 9-4.

If you are on the front lines, evacuated, experiencing loss or feeling heavily impacted by these fires please consider joining us on Friday evening. Info for the offering is below:

Free Community Breath Circle
Friday, Sept 1st 530-8pm

At this time of heightened stress, overwhelm and grief, we are heartened to be able to offer a FREE circle of breath, community and sharing for all of those who have impacted by the fires in our community.

Breathwork is a beautiful, gentle and potent way to bring our bodies, minds and hearts back into a state of wellness and regulation. Expertly guided and held by facilitators Kylie Judge and Reanna Costa, this time is meant to be a place and space to unburden all the parts of your self. In this conscious, connected way of working with breath and with the compassionate support of Kylie and Reanna, this time will help you bring more resource to yourself, your family and the community.

This event is open to everyone in all the different levels of impact from the fires: first responders, fire fighters, evacuees, community support works, etc…
