Saskatchewan Health Authority We care. We work together to improve health and well-being; every day, for everyone. Official page of Saskatchewan Health Authority.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority was formed when 12 former regional health authorities in Saskatchewan transitioned into a single provincial health authority. We are the largest organization in Saskatchewan, employing over 44,000 employees and physicians responsible for the delivery of high quality and timely health care for the entire province. We are driven by the commitment to improve frontline patient care for Saskatchewan people, and we are working together to better coordinate health services across the province to ensure patients receive high quality, timely health care, wherever they live in Saskatchewan. When families experience pregnancy or infant loss, compassionate care and support can make a meaningful difference.

Across Saskatchewan, health-care teams provide care to families experiencing loss. Community organizations and partners help extend that support beyond our health-care facilities through resources, remembrance and connections with others who understand.

For Stephanie Roster and her family, that care and community support became important following the stillbirth of their daughter, Lyra, and subsequent pregnancy losses.

The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, with Oct. 15 recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. It is a time to honour babies who are deeply loved and never forgotten, recognize the grief carried by their families, and acknowledge those who support them.

Fall Immunization (COVID-19 & flu) clinics open are now open. Book appointments for you and your family or find a walk-in immunization clinic in your community at www.4flu.ca or by calling 1-833-727-5829.

Protect yourself and your loved ones. All Saskatchewan residents ages six months and older are eligible to get a free influenza vaccine every year. You can book appointments for up to six people at the same time using the SHA Patient Booking System (4flu.ca).

Those six months to four years old and those who are immunocompromised may need additional COVID-19 doses. More: https://www.saskhealthauthority.ca/news-events/news/fall-influenza-and-covid-19-immunizations-now-available-across-saskatchewan
