True inclusion means being part of all aspects of community life.

That includes getting dressed up and heading out for a great night at the Red Serge Gala.

We love seeing people from Community Development Services represented at events throughout our community, because inclusion isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we live.

This is inclusion in action.

How has it already been a month since Walk & Roll?!

Looking back at these photos is such a great reminder of what an amazing day it was. So many people showed up to walk, roll, cheer, volunteer, donate and just be part of it.

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out and made the day what it was. This is what community looks like to us. 💙

Here are a few of our favourite moments from the day!

Important conversations happen when everyone has a seat at the table.

This coming Tuesday, the Self-Advocates of Semiahoo (SAS) will host an All Candidates Mixer at UNITI, bringing together 6 of the 7 candidates running to become Surrey's next Mayor.

What makes this event special is that the discussion will be facilitated by self-advocates themselves, creating an opportunity for candidates to hear directly from people with lived experience about the issues that matter most.

Community. Inclusion. Accessibility. Housing. Transportation. Belonging.

These conversations help build a stronger Surrey for everyone.
