During a mammogram, compression helps create clear images of the breast so radiologists can look for changes that may be too small to see or feel.

It only lasts a few seconds at a time, but it plays an important role in finding breast cancer early.

If you’re due for breast screening, consider this your reminder to book.

This month, take a moment to book your appointment or encourage a friend or family member to do the same. Visit tbrhsc.net/programs-services/prevention-and-screening-clinical-services/screening/breast-cancer-screening for more information regarding breast cancer screening in Northwestern Ontario.
