I've spent twenty years in clinics, ABI programs, long-term care, and child welfare contracts. I've watched a lot of software get demoed to clinicians. Most of it gets polite nods and then never gets opened again.
So when we started building Oliver in 2024, we set one rule that made everything harder: it had to live inside the system of record. Not a chatbot sitting beside the EHR reading a copy of the data. Not a scribe bolted on with an API. Inside the same platform that runs scheduling, documentation, billing, and payroll.
That rule cost us about two years.
It's why Oliver can answer a question about a client, a caseload, an unsigned note, and a billing gap in the same conversation. It's why role-based access is enforced at the data layer rather than in a prompt. It's why every identified query writes an audit entry. And it's why the answer can become the next step — the consult note, the table, the report — without leaving the screen.
The conversational part was the easy part. Everybody has that now.
The other rule: Oliver retrieves and organizes. It doesn't decide. When you've worked with vulnerable people for as long as our team has, you don't need convincing on that one.
It's live. Happy to show you.
